Man I'd love to come this year, but my tractors just aren't ready. There's always next year right.

The only time I've ever flipped one was going backwards down a hill and then steered hard to do a backward 180 in the mud, but I cut it too hard and missed the mud. Over I went...

@RockeyDA I don’t mean to be rude, but having to wear a helmet being your “deal breaker” seems like a really lame excuse to sit at home and ride your tractor by yourself.

i dont own a helmet, and i dont plan on getting one. im an American and choosing how i go about safety its part of my freedoms as an American. if i decide to were a helmet its because i wanted to, not some one told me to. im the same way about seat belts in cars, only im actually afraid of being trapped in a car on top of that one.

The rules are still the rules at any event. If was there I would for sure as hell be wearing one...

see, if i wanted to go mudding with people, i would try getting to snowshoe PA arround the 4th of jully. its been about 6 years seince i got some one to take me up there, but theirs mud holes that will swallow trucks. last time i went there i sent my self cartwheeling off my friends 4 weeler.

We always have a handful of extra helmets if you'd like to borrow one! LOL

I am totally behind you on freedom to do as you wish... you can't get more american than that. Unfortunately the 'other' american thing to do is to sue people, so they have to cover their butts too.

@RockeyDA You've got a good point there. An off road park in PA( if it allows ATLTs) I think would be more centrally located for a lot more folks and would encourage attendance.

I know there are some, I think Anthracite Offroad Park does, some of the places in coal country do.

It would be awesome if there were events in different areas regularly during the year to grow the sport/hobby.

Stretch and I don't feel like we have some kind of monopoly on ATLTF rallies or anything, so you'll get no territorial pissings from us

@TheRainbowBoxer that’s why I am trying to start the top tractor challenge this year, have another regular year event if it takes off

the place im talking about, i dont think its a park, dont really know what it is, i just know if you want to go camping there you might not get sleep. last time i was there for a weekend at 1 am in my tent of in a distance i hear a truck roring and about 4 poeple sounding drunk yelling. then i here it stop and some one yelling OH SH** WERE ROLING, OH SH** OH SH** then all the commonton stops for a few min till 2 more stanglers come from off in the dinstance. at the time i thoght .-. its raning, my tent is leaking, and the noise wont stop, god help me.

i dont think its a park becase theres no structures any were near it, its way off on a dirt road thats got ruts so deep a stock trucks not getting to were we went camping. theres no cell phone service (dont affect me as i would not know how to use one anyways) and you have to watch out for bob cats, mountain lions, coyotes, and black bears.

but with all that you basicly can do what ever you want. wanna blow up tanrite and the big mud pond? go ahead. start a bon fire and cook what you kill, go ahead. just dont go alone and be prepared for disaster.

I wasnt sure if that was frustration or a headache lol, in slightly more sad news, I likely wont be at haspin this year, and if I do it will be for the first couple of days only

Only one month till we're cracking cold ones!

No tractor for me this year. Havent moved the Murray since last July when I rolled it out of my trailer. Its a little rough and still has the destroyed steering. I might see if I cant get it together enough just to have it look pretty on the shore. Will have the bike though. As much as I hate doing video now, I may try to get more pictures and maybe short clips that I dont have to edit for days.

Also, I made a thread for posting up swap meet parts. If we get a turnout like it sounds, it would be a great opportunity to see some parts change hands.

Hoping to get the engine swapped out tomorrow on the Beast and get a little trail time Sunday to make sure it's ready for Haspin ! can't be for sure i'll be there but figuering on coming up for the day on Saturday. If nothing changes i'll be there.

My schedule to be at Haspin is for me to show up Wednesday afternoon, and head out Friday evening.

looks like that Saturday will be my nieces Graduation so don't believe i'll be making it after all but sounds like a lot of you will be gone by than anyway! was hoping to meet some of ya'll! maybe next time.

Saturday is packout day for a lot of us. I leave Saturday but not usually in a hurry.



My schedule is pretty frantic leading up to the trip, trying to scramble funds together in 3 weeks is gonna test me. No enclosed this year (eats into my fuel mileage), gonna use my tent that I personally only ever used once. Only bringing the XT250, still havent looked at the Murray to see if its even good to go as an ornament. Hoping to just focus on hanging out and snapping pictures and *hopefully* not snapping off any levers. Probably wont have a whole lot in the way of tools either, prolly only bring the baby genny. The canopy is in a semi-permanent configuration but I may end up taking it down and bringing it.

The bus will be there. We will probably have an extra bunk or 2 if someone needs it.
We will be hauling our tractors, and probably Stretch's jeep on his car trailer again.
We will have just general tools and parts.
I'm planning on having the bus's on board generator installed by then.
The plan is to get there noonish on Wednesday and pack up Sunday morning.
