[adm]HASPIN 2020 THREAD[/adm]

Subject: Haspin 2019, June 5th-9th, Mowercycle (mowrons!) gang.
Where: Haspin Acres, located in Laurel, IN
When: Wednesday June 5th through Sunday June 9th, 2019.
What: Offroad rally, talk shop, swap parts, and hang out with some awesome friends.
Who:  Anybody with (or without) an off-road mower can hang with the Mowercycle Gang at this rally.

Haspin is about 800 acres. Trail difficulty ranges from easy to "Are you out of your mind?!?".

Ride anywhere but in the campground. No electricity or water provided in the campground.
There is one set of restrooms and showers, about 1/8th mile from campground (They have been very muddy in the past, but better in recent years)
Water is available for hosing off rides and riders.

Camping is available in woods or campground.

Last I knew, the price to get in is about $18 per day, active military members get an additional discount (usually free, but does require military ID).

*****IMPORTANT NOTES!*****

Haspin requires all riders to wear helmets on all trails. If you do not bring a helmet, they won't let you ride.

If you are under age and planning to come, you must work out the Haspin Acres waiver ahead of time or come with a parent.  We do not want anyone to drive a long distance and be turned away at the gate.  We will not pretend to be anyone's parents, and we are not responsible for you.  

As we are doing this rally jointly with Steelsoldiers, be respectful of these very cool guys and their very cool rides.

Expect to break your tractor.  Be prepared with tools and parts.

I’m absolutely going again!! Hoping to bring my new tractor and my 110cc Chinese atv. Hopefully my new tractor does better than the last one lol

I will be attending once again, I'm not sure if the tracker is going to tag along again this year but it did seem like I drove the tracker more than my tractors, but we'll see, very excited for this years festivities and hope to see some more faces!

I hope to see the tracker there again. I was planning on taking the ranger out on some trails and was thinking we could hit some trails with them both

@CraftsmanQuad19 not gonna happen lol I'm not gonna be apart of you breaking your only transportation to and from haspin lol, I don't partake in wheeling dailys!

Haha I won’t do anything too hard. But I wanna dabble around off the main trail and sling a little mud with it. Started doing that lately, might post a vid

jeez I have been wheeling since I was at least your age on everything from entry level to the most difficult, never turned anyone down for wheeling their DD if they were correctly prepared for what they were getting into. If you are wheeling entry level stuff "green" with some mud and rocks, most stockers can make it thru no prob, I wouldn't take someone that didnt know what they were getting into on black or red trails, because I know I would just be dragging them around with my winch, hours of spotting etc...

Just be smart & reasonable & everyone can have fun... wheeled with literally 100's of people using their DD, only seen a flatbed maybe two or three times....

@mrshaft696 you took that way too seriously haha, scooter cooter can do what ever he wants with his vehicles and if he wants to take his ranger out at haspin he is more than welcome to and I'll most likely be accompanying him if I take my tracker, it was a joke considering he busted his tractor up multiple times last year and he was able to fix it but there's a difference between breaking your toy and breaking your truck that has to get you home I no longer condone wheeling faults unprepared, yeah I've wheeled my daily tons back in the day but I got sick and tired of getting phone calls at 2 in the morning to go pull out the idiot that decided him and his buddies were going to go out snow wheeling with there bald street tires, no recovery gear, and no tools. you get rubbed the wrong way when you are surrounded by the city "yee yee"s that wheel there daily and a blatantly surprised when they are stuck with a busted knuckle in the middle of the woods where they aren't suppose to be once again with no Winch, no tools, nothing and get mad at you when you won't take time out of your night to gather all your own gear they should have had in the first place and go save them, haspins one of my mini vacations and like to try and go without as many casualties as possible

Lol I won’t hit nothin crazy, but I think I can go wherever the tracker can. And a race on the dirt drags would be interesting....

Count me in too, though me and the ol lady are trying to start a family so if she’s close to having a baby or having complications obviously I won’t be there, but I had a great time last year, looking forward to this year both tractors will be in much better states of repair. Plus it’s just cool to camp out with guys as mower crazy as me, be great to see some new faces as well

All good appeared to me on the world wide web differently....inside jokes don't show thru...We struggle allot with keeping places open and having places to go, the more people involved the better....
And yes I have been on trail rides where we rode 6-8 hrs straight no issues & others where I spent all day changing tie rods, axle shafts & u-joints in 90 degree weather etc. Also coddling folks that were ambitious past their abilities & never had dirt on their hands..

My driving skill definitely improved by the end of haspin. At the beginning I was a bit green

I still have some good footage of craftsman quad in the river with his rig and also launching over a log. For some reason, I never get a chance to upload it. I should really try to get that done before this years haspin...

Not sure if I will make it out or not. I sold my tow vehicle from last year, so I'm in the same spot I was just before haspin last year without a good vehicle to use. Unless I finish the ATLTF chevy race truck and drive that out, which was always my plan.

Heck yeah man I was wondering whatever happened to that footage lol. I forgot you got a video of me getting bucked off going over the log. Then stretches reaction “I said give it a LITTLE gas!” Hahahahahaha

And yeah dan hopefully I can drive responsibly knowing I have to drive it home haha

Talk about thread jacking! Lol. Sadly I will not be able to attend this year. The fact that I am 15 years old and live 2,374 miles away from Laurel, Indiana does present some issues. Hopefully I will make Haspin 2020.

If you made it out from Cali, you'd hold a distance record that would be tough to beat LOL!

Mowron shirts this year will have the mowercycle gang evolution logo on the front and this on the back...


Shirt color is still to be decided.
