Haspin 2015 - Offroad rally with the Mower Cycle Gang! June 10 - 14

We have dates folks!!  Get your tractors ready for the best Offroad Lawn Tractor Rally!

Where: Haspin Acres, located in Laurel, IN
When: June 10th through 14th of 2015.
What: Offroad rally, talk shop, swap parts, and hang out with some awesome friends.
Who:  ATLTF members can hang with the Mower Cycle Gang at this rally held jointly with the SteelSoldiers military vehicle enthusiasts

Haspin is about 800 acres. Trail difficulty ranges from easy to "Are you out of your mind?!?".

Ride anywhere but in the campground. No electricity or water provided in the campground.
There is one set of restrooms and showers, about 1/8th mile from campground, and they can be very muddy.
Water is available for hosing off rides and riders at office, and beside drag strip.

Camping is available in woods or campground.

Last I knew, the price to get in is about $18 per day, Steelsoldiers rally attendees do get a discount on entry fee, and active military members get an additional discount (usually free, but does require military ID).

*****IMPORTANT NOTES!*****

Haspin requires all riders to wear helmets on all trails. If you do not bring a helmet, they won't let you ride.

If you are under age and planning to come, you must work out the Haspin Acres waiver ahead of time or come with a parent.  We do not want anyone to drive a long distance and be turned away at the gate.  We will not pretend to be anyone's parents.

As we are doing this rally jointly with Steelsoldiers, be respectful of these very cool guys and their very cool rides.

Expect to break your tractor.  Be prepared with tools and parts.

Excellent write up. Be nice to see if any other tractors are Haspin tough!

So it's for 16+ years of age with out parents permission? Or 18+ without parents permission?

Pretty sure you need to be 18 to sign your own waiver.

ok thanks!... Is there a minimum speed your tractor has to hit? Like 20 mph? Or can it just be a normal off road tractor?

No limit, as far as we're concerned... Though you might have some trouble keeping up on the main trail...  We do go really slow over tough terrain.
Be reasonable though - pretty sure we won't wait up for a stock speed mower.

i wasn't talking about stock speed... I was just kinda wondering... If you know how fast does other people go max? Like 30?

Ours can hit 45 max, but at haspin it is much much slower (other than on the drag strip). I doubt we get above 20 much at all.

yes you have to be 18 years old of age in order to sign a weaver or guardian or parent with proof there your parent as it states on there haspin acres page under contact us i think is where i seen it...and im hoping to find someone over 18 to ride up with me ill be 26 so im good on the signing part and tractor should be good to go by then so will my truck or what ever i decide to take with me lol but im making plans on attending most defiantly, and will also pm the ones that are attending to keep up to date on this event and see who else is going!! Long drive but i need a mid summer mini vacation for my self away from everything lol

what size pulleys are you guys running I've watched a few videos but cant seem to see what size you guys are running wanna make sure i can keep up and compete some in the drag racing lol and on haspin acres page it says for the steel soldiers is june 12th-june-15th just wondering for the dates is all might even change then lol

Yea I found there build thread on there mowers might have do one my self eventually

LMM has it right on pulley ratio. Then schedule on haspins website is from 2014... They haven't updated yet.

ahhh ok lol my fault and yea i seen the pulley set up in the thread after i asked my fault for not looking more lol

How's everyone's rigs coming?

Come find out if your tractor's really tough.

It's a long trip for some of you, but 4 straight days of nothing but offroad bliss is worth it... Trust me.

I got the inek out of the yardman gonna have to tear it down before it goes into the deere but Im sure Ill have that going here pretty soon then gotta get the reworks gears and whatever else got pooched in the 820 and get it going! not sure if Ill have a hood built by then though

if everything goes as planned ill be there murray should be ready too cant wait to see how she does up there

The Deere is getting pretty tough I'm more concerned about pugs than haspin!

We are now getting close enough to Haspin time I'm going to start planning for getting shirts made.

They will have mower cycle gang logo on front with haspin 2015 underneath, and I think we'll go with "Haspin acres - so easy a lawnmower could do it!" On the back.

My guess is they will be something like $15 - $20. If you're thinking of coming and would want a shirt let me know.

Does it come in blue and tall sizes?

Had not picked color, but blue is as good as any.
