How late can you do your pre-registration? I probably won't know if I can make it until late May.

They don't require them to be registered.
I would strongly recommend locked diffs, but there are plenty of trails that an open diff can tackle.

It will depend on how quickly they "fill up".  They are limited due to Indiana's Covid rules.
You can go ahead and pre-register anyways... there's no pre-registration fee so no loss if you have to bail.

Once again I am planning to sell event shirts at Haspin.  They will probably be $10 - $15 apiece.
Let me know if you want a shirt (or multiple) and what size(s) you need!

I'm leaning towards orange shirts this year, but open to suggestions.
