Well, I got tired of not having a shop chair, sooooooooo.....
I had the JD's old seat still floating around for whenever I did this, and I had a 3 wheeled dollyish thingy sitting behind the MM20. And as soon as I test fit the seat on it, I knew that was gonna be the seat's final resting spot. It's very very comfortable. I actually used it when I took the MM20's front end off lol. It even rocks back and forth!

Got the green Chevy all boogered back together haha
Also got the new wheels and tires put on today. Just factory Chevy alloys and cheap Goodyear wrangler tires. Much better than the factory steel wheels and bald street tires haha

That can pretty much happen on any vehicle, especially those with a solid front axle setup.
I think some common causes could be worn track bar, worn tie rod ends, front wheels out of alignment, bad suspenion geometry (hack job lift), steering box play, etc.
In your case I'm guessing it's either front end play or bad alignment.

Well, I'm pretty sure the last shop it went to put the wrong shocks on it. Every time you hit a hard bump the travel stops way earlier than it should and the car feels like it just bottomed out (but it didn't).
We got it aligned 3 years ago, so it may be time.
And then again some of those bushings in the front end are simply shot. I think we were told the ball joints need to be replaced (I think).
Never had any wheel wobble or death wobble in my jeep, after driving it for 20 plus years. I always made sure all joints were good. Plus always did the alignment for the front axle myself. I would buy new tires for it, and the fronts would take about 6 months to wear the new tire nubbies off, the alignment was so good. What also helped was it was all stock and no lift in it.
Death wobble is when the top ball joint is in front of the bottom ball joint and wobbles at a certain speed. Wheel wobble is caused by loose joints and wobbles only when you hit a bump. Helps to know what is what.

I may revive it someday but the frame is so bendy and the steering is pretty weak, front axle mounting is kinda weak, it just needs so much. More work than I feel like putting into it right now

I had an eventful day today.... No tractors involved, but I was slingin' mud!
So me and my family went out to my 2nd cousins house today... 100 acres to ride on, 2 Yamaha Rhinos, 1 Polaris Ranger, and a Polaris ATV. Sadly some renters took the key to the Ranger, but still, 3 is what we're normally stuck with. We normally spend the entire day playing a game with them. It's basically tag, but with 4 wheelers. The rules are: Once within 10 feet of your opponent, they are infected and can 'tag' you. Anyway, I don't know who started out or any of that, but man.... I was on the 3 seater Yamaha most the day, my brother was on the 2 seater with bald tires, and my cousin on an ATV. We switched around a lot. Anyway, my cousin races his BMW on a race track against his dad in his Corvette C7 and lemme tell ya, he can drive. So, I was flooring it on every straight away, making very wide turns so the speed stayed up, he was on 2 wheels half the day, my brother spun out and drifted around everything since he had bald tires... Am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, all of us were full speed through mountain trails that hadn't been cleared in a long time with steep drop offs, full speed through mud, flying through creeks, bottomed out lotsa times, I even managed to get some donuts in. I'll be picking dirt out of my eyes for days now LOL. If you've ever seen a motor cross race, then you can get the idea of what we looked like out there! Very very fun day today. I could do it all day, all night, and through the next day no problemo LOL. Well, now I know a little better what I want from the MM20!
