It's a '76 Allis 716 6-speed. Unfortunately the hood decals have been painted over, but she's in great shape! I'll have to post some pictures after I get 'er picked up.

Well, I finally got back into the site! Apparently it was something with my parents account. YouTube was logged out, Google, Gmail, and ATLTF... Anyway, all fixed now!

There's the new 716! It's in real great shape, everything is nice and tight and all the controls work quite nicely. It just needs a battery and I should be able to get 'er fired up tomorrow!

Thanks. I actually got it running and driving this morning, just had to put in a battery, a spark plug, and shine the points up a bit. She runs and drives quite well!

After that we went to a local auction and I spent $15 on a couple engines:





Vertical 7hp Briggs, and a Koher K241 from an old Case!

The Kohler is missing the piston, con rod, and the coil, but it's complete other than that! Also someone coated the cylinder with grease at some point, so it doesn't have any surface rust on it.

Overall I think I did alright!

I need to hit some swap meets and auctions. I wouldn't mind playing with an old Kohler.

Yeah, I would like to put some old iron back into my 75 Suburban.  Kohler is closest to the old Tecumseh that use to be in it.  Much easier to work on too.

Nice find Alliskid. Yeah once you spend $15 at a swap meet and you get a decent engine, then you never feel like paying any more than that when you see something for sale. It's good if you have a decent swap meet to go to for parts, much cheaper than craigslist or whatever else.

Working on the Chevy now that I’m in town, I think tomorrow we will make the final cuts to get the new frame to match up and weld it together. Hopefully reassembly will be faster than the disassembly since we won’t be fighting the rust

How much work does the bed need?

Shoulda boogered on the front end of a crown vic for a mid engine coversion smh

bed isn’t bad, just a little rust around the passenger wheel well. Otherwise it’s solid. Driver rocker is pretty bad too. Other than that the body is great, and the paint is almost immaculate. Was never really used as a truck, just transportation. Hoping to pull my new project truck home with it once it’s back together

Yeah I know. Honestly there’s about one week worth of work on the mk2 tops if I actually worked on it but I came across a couple deals that could make a really fun street truck possible and I might just have to do it. I really hope everything lines up right

Haha, CQ always has like 5 projects going on at once, and he juggles them quite well.

Richie, yeah it’s not gonna handle great, but with some good meats in the back it should roll race pretty well.
