All true. I like my 18hp Magnum oppy alot. It has bolt on cast iron jugs knstead aluminum kne piece block with iron sleeves like a briggs oppy. It also seems to make alot of torque and it's ridiculous weight is the only thing that makes my GT steer. My only issues with it are that it doesn't idle that well and the RPM kinda does what ever it wants.

Yeah my M18 is an absolute torque monster. It always starts and runs very well, and doesn't actually seem to suck the fuel down too bad. I'd also like to point out that the starters and carburetors on a Magnum are far superior to those on a Briggs oppy.
That being said, I still love both.

I'm in between builds right now I suppose. After finishing the JD and the Wheel Horse I'm not really sure if I want to dive into mud rat. I just want winter to be over. I've spent enough time in my shop.

Hay People, Here's a story for you all. A couple months ago at work, I was told to do some maintenance work on the polishing robot machines, there are 3 of them next to each other. The middle one needed some dust collection work done to it and when I opened the door, the robot tried to kill me. YUP, tried to kill me!! Check it out........
As you can see, it was just standing there behind the door with it closed. Just waiting for me.
As soon as I opened the door, it tried to kill me by stabbing me right between the eyes, Or it was giving me the bird, One of the two, LOL.
The machine is made by "ACME". Go figure. Don't they make rockets too, LOL.
OK, so back with working on the robot. This time it's a different robot. The robot was in safe mode (ofcourse), and I was working on the polishing wheels in back of the little room well away from the robot. I was rehanging the polishing wheel and a bracket was a snug fit and got stuck half way on. I went to go get a pry bar at the other end of the shop. I get back and the shop boss is in the room with the programmer talking. I get back at it while them two talk. So, I'm prying the bracket back off, the bracket pops off and goes flying, while the pry bar's handle smacks me in the forehead. Them two ask me if I'm alright and where did the bracket go. After that I still was able to hang onto the pry bar. By this time, I'm expressing pain in a colorful way, LOL. And I swear, I thought I heard the robot giggle, I swear. Kinda hard to see because I had one eye closed and I was looking down. Yah, I did just hit myself in the forehead with a pry bar ya know. Sure did leave a mark too, next to the mark I made just a couple days ago. Yah, I get hit in the head alot, and still sucks too.
OK, I'm figuring it out. I noticed this after. I seen a spray bottle sitting on the robot. Someone is spraying down the robots with BuLube!! Evidently its some psycho-mechanical spray on lubricant designed by some disgruntled lab tech. Someone got wind of what this stuff can do and knew I would be working on the robots. It could be anybody, because I screw with everybody at work, (prancstaman, not just a name). I took a pic of the evidence. The bottle is dirty, so someone has been spraying the robots down with the stuff for a while now. See for yourself.
I bet it's the foreman, I torture the living crap out of him. I'll find out who eventually.
To be continued.........

So I haven't been one to really tractor flip since you usually have to put $100 into something and then cross your fingers that you can sell that old junk for a profit but I came across a really good opportunity. The tractor is really clean. All I had to buy was a battery, deck belt, headlight bulbs, oil, and filter for it. My neighbor gave me a DYT4000 that he put a head gasket in, but he says it needs rings because there is no compression and the head is okay. WRONG I pulled the head off to find an exhaust valve guide that had walked in the head and is now keeping the exhaust valve from closing all the way. Luckily my buddy had an intek in his shed with a broken rod and a good head which he gave me. I installed that head and the motor runs great. My neighbor also said that the discharge chute was not "fixable" and I proved him wrong too lol. I sold the tractor for $400 after an hour on facebook market place and I had $75 into it. Not too bad for about a days worth of work.

@SebastianAlbrecht The mower on the left is a 1984 "black hood" Wheel Horse C-125 with a 12hp K301 Kohler and an 8 speed rear end just like Ol' Red has, It has a 42" rear discharge deck. My most popular youtube video is actually about this tractor:

That's corporate life man. They bait you in with all these "benefits" and "incentives" but then they turn around and throw stupid rules at you and make bad decisions for you. I'm glad I got out of that game and I'm never going back.
