Horsepower and CCs can be replaced with low gearing in a lot of situations.

That 5 horse can pull a train if you gear it right. It just won’t do it very fast. Since this is just another GT that AK wanted to be able to drive, it doesn’t have to be fast.

Wasn’t it you that got depressed because you kept trying to please everyone...? Just chill out and let him play with something other than suspension for once lol

Nothing wrong with that....

I used a 4hp pressure washer motor in a tractor I was making for the kids.  Worked fine, could even drag "me" up a steep hill without bogging down.

It's inaugural run before I started putting it back together.  LOL

5h is bad? Well I missed the memo on that one then. My workhorse has a 5.5hp clone and I've towed over 1500 lbs of firewood in soft ground. It's not the fastest creature in the world but it sure pulls!!

Here's a story for you all. A couple months ago at work, I was told to do some maintenance work on the polishing robot machines, there are 3 of them next to each other. The middle one needed some dust collection work done to it and when I opened the door, the robot tried to kill me. YUP, tried to kill me!! Check it out........

As you can see, it was just standing there behind the door with it closed. Just waiting for me.


As soon as I opened the door, it tried to kill me by stabbing me right between the eyes, Or it was giving me the bird, One of the two, LOL.


The machine is made by "ACME". Go figure. Don't they make rockets too, LOL.

Looks rather intimidating!

Freaked me out when I opened the door because when I opened the door I took a step in and that rod was right above eye level, LOL. The guys working on it the day before was mounting that rod on and didn't want to step inside so they positioned the arm right at the door. Lazy if you ask me, LOL.

While that may be true with some newer Kohlers and definitely the "courage", but the old K series and Magnums were pretty stout!

Yeah, for sure. Now, as @RockeyDA knows, their valve covers are plastic and stuff. They're really junk. The old stuff though is for sure nice!

I think the Commands are pretty good actually. The ones I know aren't very good are the Courages like Mighty said.

All true. I like my 18hp Magnum oppy alot. It has bolt on cast iron jugs knstead aluminum kne piece block with iron sleeves like a briggs oppy. It also seems to make alot of torque and it's ridiculous weight is the only thing that makes my GT steer. My only issues with it are that it doesn't idle that well and the RPM kinda does what ever it wants.
