| Time to start fresh. RULES!As the title says, talk about anything! BUT!... Remember if you want to talk about a tractor build, start a topic in the proper section or talk about it in your topic. This is your go to for unrelated tractor posts that don't need a new thread. Try to limit your posts in here. Approx. 5 posts MAXIMUM per User per day seems reasonable. Please don't have multi-post casual discussions in short 30-60 minute or less time frames. Use the " CHAT" for that. Keep it clean! TAA Topic V1TAA Topic V2TAA Topic V3Thank you. | |

| i am considering buying 1 more murray lt, but not for a mud mower or rally tractor, I'm thinking of doing a high speed build, lowering the tractor, solid rear axle, peerless 700, and trying for around 50 or more mph, but since I have several projects in the works atm I probably won't do it for quite some time, but in the meantime i'm going to be studying the race section and seeing how others have done some of their high speed/racing mowers | |

| Don't use a murray for that, ayp frames are so much better and easier to reinforce for speed. I've used both and the least time consuming and easier parts replacement/modification is defiantly the ayp frames. I've gone anti murray ever since I realized how much time I spent on my Murray's clutches and linkages along with the stupid steering setup and limited room under the frame, it's just pointless. Not to mention it's really hard to work in reinforcemt with the steering and the frames are very flexy. | |

| i'm just the opposite, I like the murray steering and have had no trouble with the clutch on either of mine, with the exception of a pulley freezing up and melting off, I do agree about the limited frame space, but the main thing I thought about was I thought I could easily lower the front end by flipping the mount bracket upside down, but I was wrong, I could do it but it would give me less than an inch of drop, so it's pretty much a no go when it won't give me the drop I wanted, , so I think i'll stick to my original plan of using my little jd 82 rer and a predator 212 with a torque converter, it's already low and has a chain drive, plus the steering is perfect with absolutely no play at all, some wider tires, maybe lower the seat and steering wheel and I think it would be fine, maybe not the 50+ mph I wanted but 30-40 should be possible | |

| I like Murrays cuz they're pretty sturdy compared to the junk U can get here and look good (except the pan frame fenders) but Transaxle work sucks cuz U have to pull it every time, and have trouble with the stock clutch smtms. But other than that, I really like my Widebaody and my Pan frame way more than my 2 Dynamarks. | |

| @darkside0914 Turning that RER into a mow kart capable of 40 mph sounds like fun. I've had dreams of doing that to my parents craftsman RER. It would be so easy to drop in a live axle to do some serious drifting and as you said the center of gravity is already pretty low. | |

| @Crazy_Carl that's basically my plan, put in a solid axle, pull the peerless 700 and run a 212, I could use the 700 and pulley swap, but I think a 212/torque converter would be a much simpler setup, i'll go with a torque converter simply because I've had nothing but trouble with centrifugal clutches on go carts in the past, so I don't like them, I thought about doing it with my little toro 550, but can't bring myself to hack up the baby mower, it's really in to good of shape for that. | |

| Having some that on at least 2 rers, I can say they do not drift very well, the front end is way to light, even when I swapped the rear engine to the middle. | |

| @biggasmowers not a problem, just have to get some pvc pipe that fits the tires like on a drift trike, when I want to drift slap on those tires, have another set without the pipe for real go fast runs. I was considering olive drab for my sears, mostly because I hate yellow, but I think i'vfe settled on blue and a dark red for it instead | |

| Web version should be available again from the top right menu. If you put in a header image in mobile it seems to turn that off. Who knew. | |

| i think I may have been mixing 2 different transaxles. I think one is an mst206 but the other is a 930, the tags are gone off both of them, but I watched a video, I believe it was puppet kickers, where he split open both a 930 and a 206, and the 930 had chain drive reverse where the mst had gear drive, this matches what I have, I also think the two cases matched the two cases I have which are also different from each other, the other difference, and i couldn't tell from the video, was the bull gear teeth on what I now believe to be a 930 are about twice as wide as the teeth on the other axles bull gear, someone correct me if i'm wrong but it seems that instead of having two mst206s of different yrs, which is why i believed the cases were different, I actually had 1 mst and 1 930 | |

Nice! Probably painting 1 of them in that colours! Probably the Mud Murray would look better with that, cuz it's more like a Army Tractor with 4X4 and winch and stuff.. | |

| @Crazy_Carl i was thinking that as the case, at 1st I believed I had two different yrs of the same transaxle, I thought 1 was an early version and the other was a newer version, I didn't know the 900series came in 6sp I thought it was only a 5, but when I watched puppet kickers video and saw the way his were built, it dawned on me that I may have the same two transaxles as him, to bad the case is wrecked on the 930, it would have made a good replacement for the spicer in my brothers craftsman,. | |

| I was looking at a ad for a starter cylinoid on ebay and at the bottom it had a warning, may cause cancer and reproductive harm, wtf how can a cylinoid cause cancer and reproductive harm, then I looked at the source, it was a California gov website, I swear everything seams to cause cancer or reproductive harm in California, I told my brother that if the U.S. was ever attacked the only state left alone would be California because the attacking army would be afraid of getting cancer
