Drilled out this bolt and knocked it out with a center punch. A bolt threads in there nicely now. All 3 brake caliper bolts I broke off threaded out with the help of vise grips.
Hay People, Looky what I got. My kid grabbed it like at 2 o'clock, takes a pic and sends it to me, I'm indisposed at the time while I'm at work when I get the text. Looking at the text I see the tracks on it and send him a text back "Bring it home" LOL. I was planning on fixing up the junk I had already for clearing the driveways but this is way cooler. From the pic he sent me it looked bigger but the size it really is, is way better. Just a wee bit bigger then my biggest snowblower that I have now. It's missing a couple things too, like the shoot and I'm sure other things too but I got enough junk laying around to make this thing work.
So this thing will go on the back burner until summer time for a rebuild and an overpowering. It has a 3.5 or a 5 hp Tecumseh on it with no compression now, pull it for later and I have a 10 hp Tecumseh I can rebuild just for it.
Even if the tracks are busted somehow, I can make my own set that are all steel too for it, LOL.
Too cool, Later!!

Cool! When I was in high school there was an old snowblower just like that one in the auto shop. Said "Eaton Viking" on the front of the control panel. It was a pretty neat looking unit. I never got to see it run or anything though, the engine was missing some parts and I think there was something wrong with one of the tracks.

A while back @Doug was talking about adding a section called "Tractor attachments" for trailers, plows, furrows, stuff like that. What happened to that, because I've got a build to go in there? Or do I just post it in Off Topic?

When I built the lift hitch and the disk harrow wheel frame for my Allis B-110, I just covered it in the tractor thread. So if it's just something you made for your JD you could do that. Otherwise posting in the "Off-Topic Project Builds" would be fine.

Well, I wasn't doing the linear actuator just yet. I was actually talking about a bunch of mods I plan to do to a yard cart (storage, ball hitch, chainsaw mount, tires, etc.).

No I'm serious! Mine I bought in a store and bolted some stuff to it, yours you built from the ground up and put suspension under it. It's really awesome.

I seen the thread and there was 100% support for that. I will create it. That happened about the time "life" happened with Doug.
