Husqvarna LT 130 MUD mower

Sorry i'm a bit of a bonehead guys but I figured out what you meant. It had a half inch of side to side play but now with some more grinding and some washers on the nut side, it is down to just over 1/4" of side to side play on the tires, I think I can live with that as this thing will pretty much live in the mud. I guess we will find out when I send it for the first time.

I am probably definitely going to paint the white rims black BTW...

Oh yeah me to... Just probably a few more months. Just when all the mud is gone. I will have to bring the watering cans up to the power lines...

Looking good muck! Those tires should do much better than the turfs, they look pretty great too.

When did it get painted ? Looks good.

Yeah it looks a lot better now what the frame is level, it also helps out with the suspension because it is not at an angle anymore.

I'm unsure of what you mean. Like the fenders and hood? I did that many months ago. I will paint the front end so it doesn't rust when I know I like it and it works well because it will be a big job with all those nooks and crannies.

Oh lol. I probably hasn't noticed cause I hadn't seen it with the hood or a rear view for awhile.

Yeah I will need to trim the hood to fit the coilovers now. I will also modify the pivot part so it doesn't pivot and just slides up and down because my bumper gets in the way of it when it opens.

So what kinda articulation do you get with that new setup? Pictures? Haha

Hahaha we will see. The suspension is a little bit stiff so it might bend the frame a bit too when it flexes.

Trimmed the hood after school today to fit the suspension. Might have over trimmed it a bit but now I want to shape the hook pivot that it sits on so that the hood just slides off instead of pivoting because the bumper is very close to the front.

Looks pretty nice muck! That opposed looks pretty good peeking out as well, hehehe.

Yeah the oppy is just trying to get noticed.. Not much I can do now but make a double pulley clutch while I wait for parts.

Replaced the old ball joint with a real ball joint from a 3/4 ton truck. I know it's overkill but at least it will last. How do you tighten down the nut without the joint just spinning around though?

That should be nice and heavy! Looks like a tie rod end. Also you might have to put Vise Grips on the shaft somewhere or something because those are designed to lock into a taper in the steering knuckle when they're on the truck. Other than that I'm not really sure how you'd get it to tighten. On another note did you mean to put this thread in the Lifted/Monster section?

Yeah I ran into that problem. I will still have to figure it out because it's just spinning out. When I made the topic I wasn't too sure so I figured if it was lifted I would just put it here.

Yeah I guess you might not be able to get Vise Grips on it because of the boot, but who knows. Worth a shot. Also if you change your mind and want it in a different section I can move it for ya, haha.

Side tension?

I like to do stuff so it's not permanent. If I would have welded on stuff in the past this tractor would be a mess. I can't get at it with vice grips so I might have to modify it in a bit of a different way. Anyways, tomorrow I have to fix the welder before I do anything. What do you mean by side tension?
