I am almost done, I need to order a few more heim joints because I messed up and it doesn't flex. I will paint everything when I finish up the panhard bar. Then I will do the steering after.

Ferry schedule is pretty funky. You might want to look at https://www.bcferries.com/ . Anyways, I haven't even gotten into it yet, Ill just follow the 7 pins to where the letter says ans see what happens from there I guess.

I'm using a Mastercraft household welder that can run either MIG or FCAW. I ran .035 FCAW wire for the entire thing basically. I'm so used to using it by now that I don't even have to try to get a nice weld on thick material. And yeah I know, but i'm just scared it wont work because I have never done it and That kinda stuff confuses me.

my welder was given to me by a friend who cold never get a weld to stick it. i got some decently strong welds out of it, even thogh it kinda just throws balld of metal at every thing and really can only properly weld 1 thickness of metal. with something like conduit, it either dose not stick or it blowers wholes right threw it. meanwhile AYP frame is just alittle 2 thick for it on highest settings. it works, but dose not go all the way threw.
my friend got it for 90$ on ebay free shipping... from china. half its price was probably shipping. it also arrived broken, i have had to fix it twice for him then about 3 times for me.

UPDATE! I haven't done much on my mowers this summer so far. Its just flying by as I focus on my truck. I would like to get some more stuff done and I will try to after I finish up a few jobs. My buddy was over all weekend and he helped me out big time. He cobbled together a simple but effective electrical system out of the old harness componenets and some of my crimpers. The system looks very bulletproof and easy to work on and duplicate if needed. When that was done, we hooked up a well charged battery and it fired right up. Still surges like before, and I don't know what it could be, because I rebuilt the carb. Anyways, It's looking good. I just need to set up some steering and stick a few more heim joints on it, and hopefully I can bring it to my local fall fair. Oh yeah, I also want some mufflers, because it is insanely loud sticking up like that. Next "simple" thing that I could do, is fixing the trimmed and broken plastic hood. I have some ideas, just need the time. It is pretty tight in space but i'm sure I can pull it off. Sorry for no pictures and lots of text but my phone wont send pictures for whatever reason.

1. would your local fair happen to be grange? 2. did you see redneckcomputergeek's new suspension video?, it was cool but i like your better. his lack of a front axle consernes me for strength against slamming in to things.

1. Im assuming grange is a local fair in your area? But no, it's just a small local fair. 2. I never watched that video, mostly just trial and error and over building stuff as I usually do.

durring next build off i might want to clone what you did but on my ford, althogh clone aint the right word since its a much different tractor. and i think i wold need a better welder before attempting

Yeah well thats a completely different system, thats a twin beam, they are neat but it always looks like it has funny camber because of the way the beams articulate.

The key to having a strong Twin I-Beam setup is having some heavy duty radius arms to support the beams, and basically keep them from folding under the tractor.
But anyway, looking forward to seeing some update pictures muck!
