| The key to having a strong Twin I-Beam setup is having some heavy duty radius arms to support the beams, and basically keep them from folding under the tractor.
But anyway, looking forward to seeing some update pictures muck!

| Must have been, I just find parts laying around at the wreckers and take them home to make art or shifters or whatnot. | |

| Not too happy with this things engine right now, today I was just chasing problems that seemed to solve themselves and create new ones and it was getting quite annoying. first I changed the solenoid and on eof the switches, and made a batter ground. the electrical seems to work better now. Then I cleaned the carburetor real good again, and thew it back on carefully, then it started pouring out gas from the pump, so I took it apart, and nothing was wrong. So then I decided to fire it up, and as per usual, it went to full throttle and it just has a mind of its own. Pushing the gas pedal doesn't affect anything. but I tried playing with the throttle on the carb, and it just shuts down. I would throw a different carb on it at thi point, but I dont have one and they cost A LOT. | |

| Holy crap you've got some carb problems, seems like the governor is hunting around or something. | |

| You think it's the governor or the carb? I really don't know at this point, because both look like they are in fine condition. | |

| I sprayed it with carb cleaner, sprayed it with compressed air, and I think I soaked it in gas at some point. | |

| Probably going to test it for vacum leaks tomorrow somehow. Today I spent a few minutes putting the suspension back together and getting the steering almost done. | |

| I would try go power sports for shocks, the you can search around ebay after that. There's a link in my mud rat thread where I bought my shocks.
Back on topic. Nice suspension pic. I like the red links.

| Didn't have time for the inake leak test today. Just a pain in the rear. And I really doubt it leaks. But im not sure what else it could be. | |

| Now that I got the engine to run semi properly this thing is drn near complete, I finalized the steering an all, just need to get some bolts for the shocks ect. Plot twist, today I sent it, wasnt doing anythign crazy, and then I hear ggrrrrr, I see that the trans has broken the locker, and that when shift or turn it grinds. So now I start over.. If the gears and case looks fine, then I will just put a different locker style in it probably and use it, if it is not however, I will have to put an 820 that I got for free a while back, can anyone tell me if the 820 has the same bolt pattern as the spicer? Oh and also, this thing is slower than I remembered, so if I come across some pulleys, I might swap it. | |

| I'm fairly certain the 820 should bolt right up. That would be easy to check with a tape measure since you already have the 820. | |

| So the peerless transmission had broken teeth on the main gear, so I couldn't use it. What I ended up doing was welding it all together after a bit of grinding, I also swapped the top case because I realized something that looked like a crack. Painted the skid platw while I was at it, and now it doesnt drive to bad. Tomorrow i'm going to tape up the wiring and hopefully ride it this weekend now that I bought shock bolts, despite how bad it needs a 6" pulley on the front lol. Also drilled a new hole in hood and fitted it. | |

| She's looking great muck! I really like that front bumper. How's the articulation with the Y-link setup? Mine's pretty flexy with the wrists near the back joints and the coils I have. Also for what it's worth I think it would really look good with some taller narrow knobbies on the front. | Thanks guys. It's going to be hard to get a video but i'll try. I could see some atriculation when I was going over bumps before I blew it up. Shocks are still slightly stiff for my linking though. not really going to be looking for others unless I happen to come across them. And yes Allis Kidd I want better front tires, but I can't put much taller tires on the front because it would make it not level anymore and I can't adjust the suspension. Any ideas for tires that would fit on these rims anyone? | |

| Tires like the ones on the front of my MTD would fit if you had 8" rims. Not sure if you have any 8" rims lying around with 3/4" bore, but if so that would really open up your options.
