| The wife wants camo. Plus, she has some waterproof camo fabric we'll use to make a canopy. | |

| That fair lead looks pretty stout, does it need a bumper? Our ROPS is just for the tractor, not us. Got to protect what is important. Haven't flipped any since we installed them. | |

| Yes- the fairlead looks like it could take some abuse. I'll look at some assorted scraps and see if anything will look half decent on there. If not, I'll leave it alone.
As far as the hoop on top of the bumper- that's just grille and light protection. Once the canopy is on this thing, having a bar a bit higher wouldn't do squat for me in a roll, anyhow.

| Considering I haven't wired them yet... no. But I could! they are dual filament, and it wouldn't take much for me to wire in a brake light switch. I probably will... 'cuz I can! | |

| Yep! Either that, or the brake light switch off a motorcycle I molested for parts. I'll probably use that one because they are better suited to longer pedal strokes and are adjustable- so the lights don't come on every time I clutch, and I don't have to totally bury the pedal to put 'em on. | |

| Nice brake lights. Been thinking of adding some tail lights at some point. Rainbow added some led ones to his that look nice, and another friend put on some goofy leds that flash.
Be nice for those high speed runs on the road at night.

| LED- Great idea! I have some 1156 LED conversion bulbs around here somewhere. I'll put 'em in, that'll lessen the electrical load! | |

| Didn't have a ton of play time tonight, but I did get some stuff on there! I mounted a Jerry can holder on the right rear fender, and a surplus ammunition can on the left fender. The can holds the booster cables, air hose, and emergency pull start rope nicely. | |

I made the fenders by narrowing and cutting up a single steel trailer fender. - Jay_Rod wrote:

I have had thoughts about the electrical system. It's a "wait and see" thing. If it proves to be a problem, I will have to address it. The stuff around you isnt half the problem you might think. They are low enough and far enough back as to be out of the way. I was worried about smacking my elbows on them, but it just isn't happening. I took it for a run last night, no issue.

| Well- the 15hp that's on there now seems to be taking it all in stride. I think as long as I keep it geared fairly low, it'll be fine. I will probably swap a pully to bring the top speed up a bit, but this is no racer. I want it to have grunt- not speed.

| We got grunt, lol. Used the racer/rallys to pull a 5500 pound camper around. The peerless trannys have a really low first gear.
You will have much better durability keeping the top speed around 15-20mph. That's plenty fast for getting around the property. As you said, it's a utility tractor!

| Well... The cheapie chinese ATV front tires kept getting bead leaks and driving me insane. Sure, I could tube them, but I wasn't crazy about them anyhow. A bit smaller than I'd like, and not altogether that aggressive looking. I cruised Kijiji until I came up with some 4.80x4-8 meats off a snowblower. Like new conditions, good price. Problem being, they're an 8" rim. I contemplated a few different options, and decided I should use some 8x4" 4-bolt trailer wheels that were a freebie curb find a month or so ago. Now- how to mount 4-on-4 trailer wheels to a 3/4" spindle. Well- I have some great trailer hubs and spindles! So, I cut the trailer spindles to length, and cut the factory spindles right off. I welded the MUCH beefier 1 1/16" trailer spindles in place and threw the whole mess together. Nice! They are taller and narrower, which should give them a better bite when I get around to locking the diff... | |

| Thanks- but I didn't actually MAKE the hubs. They are high speed trailer (highway) hubs. Seals, greasable, tapered roller bearings- the whole works. I welded matching trailer spindles onto the steering knuckles and then just bolted the hubs on. | |
