| Thanks mighty!
Mk2 is still running great. Had a little issue this morning with my steering column cover hitting my kill switch so i think that’s what happened in the dark last night.
Steering is definitely a bit bendy and has a lot of play in it so I think it’s time for a rack and pinion...hence the link mighty sent me.
Cannot friggen believe this thing is still running. And it seems like it has more power every time I ride it! I was able to get it into 5th on flat ground today and man it rips. With full power and no Governor it’s gonna be downright scary with my current steering setup.
I fly out for my new job on the 10th so this will not see much attention this summer unfortunately

Because you’re 5 hours the wrong way that’s why haha. Ranger wouldn’t go above 60 with the trailer and just my stuff in it. Can only imagine how slow it would be with 4 tractors loaded on

| Forgot to mention I rolled it today. Tried to go down spaghetti bowl but the steering is so bendy it went full lock dropped down in a rut and just rolled over super slow. No big deal. No damage other than the hood and a broken bead on the front right tire. I’ve already ran the hood over 3 times before the rollover so I’m not too worried about it.
Once I got it DOWN spaghetti bowl it crawled right up it no problem

I don’t thing anyone can honestly. But it runs GOOD! Not much power, but no noises, starts easy, doesn’t bog too bad now that I stole the throttle off the simplicity. I feel like it’ll climb anything that doesn’t require high wheel speed, but anything dry it will go up. I can’t BELIEVE how well it’s doing. I’ve ridden it at least 4 hours each day the last three days and it still starts and runs consistently

| If you clear that crankcase of the busted rod I'll bet it runs good for a year or two. I have a JD L120 with a 20 HP V-Twin that was running on one side (the intake valve rod fell off), and it was able to "bush hog" our lower field with a 48" 3 blade cutting deck. One cylinders are a lot stronger than people think. Not that they're better than an Oppy, but they'll put some power out, especially on my lightweight Murrays. | |

| Well the oil is just it. It puked most of it out and whatever’s left is full of connecting rod dust. I would’ve expected it to chuck the other rod or seize by now. Every time I go out I’m thinking “is this it? Is this finally the day?” And it just says not today buddy
Needs steering, an engine, and some shift keys (and the detent ball) but otherwise it’s doing well. Chassis is very sturdy but might add a piece of rebar running the full length to help tie the rear of the frame into the front more. Still some flex from the twin vertical plate section of frame

If it survives are you gojng you get a rod for it and clean all the crap out or just get a new motor? Ya mine had alot of frame twist in the rear section but the angle iron I welded to the sides helped alot. I'm sure rebar will do the trick too.

| Rack and pinion should be neat! Did the Ross steering box setup not work out so good? | No it was super flexy (only 2 mounting bolt locations) and had a lot of play in it. Just wore out.
Steering and power were the biggest things holding me back at haspin I think. Debating just buying a brand new predator 708, it mounts the oil filter up higher so I wouldn’t have to screw with a remote mount or anything like that, plus being brand new should mean less carb troubles and such. Finding parts may be harder though so I’m not sure. What do you guys think?
