I didnt really document anything, but I do plan on making a thread on it. Although thats time permitting, my plans for life to normalize after Haspin went out the window when I volunteered to help my dad move... from Vermont.

And to further muck things up, had to take off work for back pain today. Chiropractor cant get me in today. That 500-something-mile trip is gonna be fun in a few hours. Think I may be overdoing it slightly.

I think with the planned mods I can still sell it for a little over $1,000 if I ever needed to, but I don't think I ever will lol.

That's a pretty nice 140. Has the triple remotes too, which is a cool feature. Also about the FNR transaxles they seem to be sorta hit and miss, the FNR in my cousin's one tractor seems to be holding up great to the abuse with the 20" knobbies on it. Altough I find it annoyingly hard to shift from forward to reverse, but I think that's just kinda how they are.

That 140 had a three point hitch and remote hydraulics.  That's frickin sweet for a garden tractor.  F-N-R=P.O.S.

I figured, what's the secret of the Reverse MST:



the teethed part needs to be on the opposite side, to let it spin right direction.

What would ya do:

A: Sell the Reverse MST and buy an right direction MST (right direction spinning ones are hard to get here and then i pay more for it, than i get for the reverse one)

B: Buy the new right direction spinning shaft, or whatever it's called, would cost me around 50$ used

C: Swap in the shaft of an Peerless 930 (then I have reverse Chain)

D: Open up the rebuilt 206, and rob the longer input shaft outta it, replace it with the shorter one from the reverse one, swap into the reverse one the long input shaft, the reverse chain setup from a 930, the axle bearings from rebuilt MST, and put it in MTD (the reverse one has shorter axles, and that's handy, cuz i do'nt need to put the rims on reverse to clear the bagger)

I'm not sure, what i should do. Maybe the best solution would be to bury all ma mower junk and forget about it, and do something different

Well I have swapped mst gear clusters into a 930, but never the other way around. Seemed to work fine once with a doc(ish) locker until I grenades it going up hill and popped the clutch in 5th. But the case was already cracked on one of the axles so it could have just bound up. I am pretty sure I have the right mst parts still, but i think shipping to Germany would be very expensive and probably cost more than its worht .
