| I have a thing for the way old wheel horses look so I'm shooting for the out come of this build to be something like that but with my own twist. This will be built for trail and pulling stuff around on my property. Rear tires right now do not match but both are 25-10x12 I will be building the frame from 1"×2" steel then over laying the back half of the murrays floor pan. Although I have had little luck with Tecumseh, its all I got for now so I will disassemble clean and add new gaskets and seals Its a 9hp. I'm still undecided on the hood and grill I'm leaning to making the hood out of a steel drum barrel. Got the motor all taken apart. Now for cleaning and paint - Approved by Doug, 2/26/2018

| Thanks everyone! I will be building a frame for it. This Murray chassis flexed a ton was even cracking from the flex. The idea here is to make a frame out of 1"× 2" tube then mount the dash and upper part of the murrays frame to that. I belive I will be narrowing and taking some of the height off those parts as well.
Your right on the locomotive part might have to change that plan up now.lol

| I have an idea for this build. To safely stay within the frame rules you could weld up a sub-frame like you plan on doing and set the pan frame on top of it. It would be like dropping a body onto a chassis. It might things like motor mounting, floorboards, and dash a little easier to do. | |

In the last picture in your post, what's that barbed fitting on the block in between the valve cover and the oil drain plug used for? that looks like a crank case vent for a fuel pump

| Come to think of it I replaced a blown head gasket in a B&S last summer that had a crankcase vent hooked up to a diaphragm pump. It’s the same principle. | |

| Picked up the steel Friday. I got 10' of 11gauge 1"×2" tube and also picked up a 6"×13" 1/8 plate. Today i started on the trans to frame mount. I will be mounting the frame to the front side of the trans like some wheel horses are. I also like this because it keeps the C.G lower. Marked the holes to drill. Cut and drilled the mounting plate. Welded the best I could with my flux core. The trigger is going out so gotta fix that soon There is going to be a Gusset added to the side of this mount for more strength. | |

| +1 on the nice weld. Looks like you prepped well. That's what I always heard. Looks good. EDIT: I just realized the clean removal of the pulley from the hub. Sweet! | |
