| LOVE IT! She sounds abosolutely great Carl! It's quite obvious that you put a lot of time into that tractor to keep 'er looking and functioning the way she's supposed to, and you obviously care about it very much, which I think is just great. Neat editing as well, haha. Nice job! | Thanks a lot guys. This winter I wanted to go above and beyond the normal preventative maintenance I do to this tractor and tackle some bigger projects that I’ve wanted to get done on this tractor. I’m really proud of it so I wanted to make a really nice video as a tribute to it. It did take several takes, except for the first start part and I tried some new things in Imovie. | |

| Well turns out my carb was bummed up from all of the movement and sediment in the bottom of the gas tank went into the carb even tho I had a fuel filter on it. It's not running very long and on full choke. Made it a bit closer to home but it's still spending the night out with the coyotes Had a pitted spot on the lawn boy frame that was bothering me so I laid a bunch of rod on it for practice and filled in the low area. | |

| Every now and then a mistake would happen at the machine shop where I worked. We'd do that same fix. Build it up with weld and machine it down flat. Then sand the part to blend the slight color difference. | |

| I was going to blow up an old Briggs and before I could get it running , after a few pops the cylinder froze even tho I couldn't get it to run or heat up. I took a big pipe and gave it some encouragement...... It's not ever going to run now | |

| OK, first. Last night was a pretty sky and yellow sunset. Made the Bradfords almost glow! Now to shoot an engineer. I always see those post about then and now with the placement of the oil filter... Yeah, Come on Chrysler! My wife's old van was so easy and right there. This RAM 1500 4x4. Not so much. To make a long story short, I got a check engine light and my code reader gave me a code that was related to the MDS of the truck. Recommendation for the code was to change the oil, that someone probably put in the wrong viscosity or it was low. I checked it and it was REALLY dark. I was shocked. Dealership never serviced it. Checked the oil life system and it was at 40%. So, I decided screw the dealership and changed the oil. Oil drain was right there easy enough. Not so much with the oil filter. If it was not 4 wheel drive, I guess it would have been fine. Needless to say the filter is above the front diff. I used a styrofoam cup to catch the drips. I was able to catch and divert 90% of the oil spill from the filter removal. Here is the new filter all tucked away up there. | |

| Yep, that's typical of most modern vehicles, horrible oil filter location. I'm surprised yours is a spin on, most Rams of similar age I've worked on have had a cartidge filter. Maybe something to do with yours being the HEMI engine. Still not as bad as my Impala. It has a built in funnel because the filter is on the side next to the exhaust converter. You unscrew it and the dribbles go down this funnel under the car to spill all over the front engine basket. Either way, always a mess. If this is the worst, I think I will be OK. 16 plugs? Hopefully they are iridium? | |

| Wow that filter is buried. I changed the oil in the firklifts at work this week. The toyota was easy because you could get a pan under the drainplug, and the oil filter was upside down so all the oil drained out of it and made almost no mess. The hyster on the other hand had a side mount filter that was right above a hard to clean motor mount and the drain plug was pointed at the bell housing which made it hard to get the pan in just the right spot to not make a mess. Yeah I made a big mess which is why I pay someone another $15 over what it would cost to do it myself for my car and truck oil changes so I don’t have to deal with the mess and oil disposal. | |

| Yeah I agree with CQ. I think it's kind of a neat little rig, but there's now way it's 100 years old.
