Anybody know if I can re glue magnets inside of a fly wheel? Around time I have had the mags come off on two engines that are the same make , and now on this 0ne I don't have a spare flywheel . Can I run it without any mags or will it be off balance? Also removed the governor and cleaned put tons of wasp nests. I was planning on using this on the lawn boy for a racer but I might just use a 12 horse flatty

Wow all interesting stuff. I really don’t like snakes either but some are beneficial and there’s no reason for humans to fear them. That’s not the case with the rattler though.
@biggasmowers Maybe you could clean up that flywheel and epoxy so magnets back in the right place so you don’t have to worry about balancing. If I were in your shoes I would save that motor if it’s any good and just keep an eye out for a good flywheel.

We usually see some big black rat snakes around here. I almost caught one it was well over 6ft. I have some sheds that are over 6ft long, I want to build a display case for them.
And on another note...
This garbage came home with me.
Cool grill.
Pretty rough shape though.
The underside of this thing is COVERED in flaky rust. Im not sure how good the frame really is. But the grill, hood, and dash look serviceable.
Engine is locked up with no carb.
...more junk to the collection.... hehehehe....

My dog got bit by a rattler once, got him to the vet and he's alright! Vet said if we hadn't given him a rattlesnake vaccine (shot) he wouldn't have. Very vital out here#

1. Can you glue them back in, Yes. Each magnet has a different polarity so they have to alternate. If you have not removed them from the stator, mark them in order. I bet they are still in the correct order. Clean the magnet and the flywheel. You can JBWeld them back in. Let sit overnight and you will be good. I've done this 2 times now on my Briggs.
2. Can you run without them? Yeah, but your battery will go dead as this is the alternator.

Crap.... one of my magnets is broken ........ I might just run it without until I get a new one from a parts engine. Would running 4 instead of 6 mags work? It would make less voltage but could still charge the battery
On another note ........ all it needs is complete date and it's ready yo enter( still want to clean more rust off .

Made a rear rack for the new lt 4000, that hasn't been noticed in the build off entry thread..... it's strong enough for me to stand on at least since it doesn't look the greatest
