That first picture my friend did with his welder. He was a certified hydraulic tank welder but he was fighting bad tips and was a little rusty. Not to mention it’s hard to get to. I’m a little more flexible than he is lol

His setup is a Lincoln Electric 220 mig loaded with flux core. I have a Chicago electric (harbor freight) 90 amp flux core mig

I really got tired of flux core wire, it had so much slag that goes everywhere and white powder as the weld a cool. Stick makes more slat but it doesn't fly everywhere and leaves a clean weld after you knock the slag top off.

Yep. Hit the bank to try and come out and totally bowed the tierod. Bent it back straight and drove it home. That thing was only like 1/4 inch thick. Not even beefy enough to mow with.

I finally fixed a leaking front tire on the ol' Case today, which somehow lead to this:



No, I'm not putting suspension on it, hahaha. Just wanted to fix the little bit of play the front axle had.



The pivot pin actually isn't worn out or anything and neither is the hole in the axle surprisingly, so I'm gonna just add a second shim between the front of the axle and the front mounting plate. Should fix 'er up nice!

That sure is a nice cast iron axle..be a shame if somebody were to steal it for another rig...

Yes it would, but what are the odds of that happening? Hehe.
