Great RACK! You're tractor looks more complete now. So where's the toolbox going?
Still thinking of some tweaks for it. I have contemplated maybe a midrange shelf? Something to put a toolbox or something in under there? Still thinking as I do not know what toolbox to use at this time. I may go with a ammo canister. Still in brainstorming.

Cool deal Mighty! Looks super sturdy, should work great for sure. It'll definitely be handy to have some decent storage space. I like your pup as well!
Thanks AK!

Put Kal to work today bringing up some wood for smoking meat this weekend. Giving the rear rack a workout. Also Kal is running good today. I was hoping to load it up in the truck today and take it to the inlaws field for some testing. I couldn't find a good place in the yard to load it up without ramps. I have a fence in the front that gums up the works for backing into the ditch for loading. I really need to get a trailer.

I love the angle of that second picture! She looks seriously awesome with that slightly streched wheelbase. Looks like the rack works pretty good too, nice work Mighty!

Well that's ok I guess. Looks damn near complete. Good job.
Getting really close. I'm working out kinks like my steering drag link came out about an inch too short. Easy fix. I just hate cutting threads. LOL Maybe some steering stops. Some hood work.
**EDIT: I started welding bolts to the end of the rod. Scratch cutting threads. LOL

What don't you like about it mighty? Seems like you're having some second thoughts or doubts.
I was having a bad case of the burn outs. With all that was going on since March, I guess I was a bit depressed. Lost 2 aunts, a Grandparent, 2 dogs, My brother was in the hospital possible Heart attack (which was not thankfully, just anxiety) Other stuff .... just a lot of rough life. It's (tractor) starting to come together nicely.

Awe the rack ruins it! Oh well at least it's functional and not just a show piece
Awe.... I actually kind of like it! I am not complete with it yet.

After mowing the yard this morning, I decided to get the tractors out and take some laps around the yard.
Had Kal out..
Decided to get Red out too. It had a dead battery. Man, it has been a long time since I had Red out. Took some cranking to get it started. The carb was bone dry and took a little to get the pump primed.
Got Red started and did some laps in Red too! Then I posed it next to Kal.
Pretty fun afternoon. Smoked a Brisket, some pork, and some Ribs! Lots left over, chopped the beef and tore up the pork for next round BBQ.

Man some BBQ sound soooo good right about now. Glad you got to take the tractors for a quick ride
Sidenote, I got one of the grilles and hoods like you have on red with the square headlights, but the tractor it’s on has a Briggs single so it doesn’t have the cutouts in the hood for an oppy, and there is a hole in the side of the grille for the muffler to shoot out of

After I cleaned Kal up and got proper torque on the head covers... I don't even have to choke it now and it fires right up. Idles nice too. It might have my best running oppy. Red has always had a hiccup on idle every now and then but has lots of power and runs great otherwise. I've cleaned his low speed jet I could not tell you how many times.

I have been doing some thinking about my ride on the weekend.
1. Need to fix the one weld break. (Shock brace meets bumper on the right side) Brace and reweld. 2. As much as the twin exhaust sounds.... I think I am going to change up the exhaust with a muffler. After about 20 minutes, the coolness wore off and got old. 3. Add a horn. 4. Figure out some kind of brace for the steering. Adding the socket universal added some steering shaft play. (Not steering play)
EDIT:
5. Longer shocks? Need a little more flex.

I was doing some thinking and some states have noise and spark arrestor requirements. While I have no idea on spark arresting, the ATV muffler definately "toned" it down. I went ahead and combined the 2 exhausts into one and added an ATV muffler.
I'll probably move the oil drain to the other side on the next oil change. We'll see how this works out.
