Got offered one or TWO free tractors today one is a clapped out newer yard machines idk about the other, the plan for that machine is a yeeter beater i might pully swap it or just beat the snot outta it stock i dont care if it has oil in it or not im gonna get it running for as cheap as possible and bash it into trees and stuff and use it for pushing stuff and shooting with my bb gun. Also made a bumper for my hotrod its a rally inspired remake of the bumper i had on it. Mainly to hold podlights because i had them. Just gotta finish wiring and im picking them tractor/s up tommrow ill post pics of everything

ive got a video on the tractor being unloaded and first test drive so im gonna mess around a little more with it and my buddy is gonna come pick it up this weekend in trade for quad parts the motors shot it barely runs tons of blowby governor sticks wide open and it stutters its not in too great of health the dash is broken the solenoid is now bolted to the fender so i can jump start it. its 99.9% clapped out so ill beat it up more and drive it into a tree and my buddy wants a new tractor so he gets it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NG8qKlgwss

im gonna squease a better video out of it today i think but i hope the link can work for you guys

Made more videos of beating on the junk mtd. Also my grandpa brought me another really cool tractor. Its a craftsman its my favorate color of craftsman but not the right body style which im fine with. It has the wide GT fenders and big gas tank front mount battery and its made to fit a oppy so im gonna run a 20hp oppy briggs ic on it but first major mods are gonna be moved front axle like my red tractor and a 2nd gen steering box conversion. ive got a junk new frame ill chop the box from and just bolt it down to the new frame ill take pics when i do it. Its a 5 speed which is fine with me. and ill make frame stiffening plates from the extra tractor frame.

Sounds like your reputaion precedes you! Lol.

That's cool, so even of you break 3 tractors you still have 2 ready to go and could piece together a small fleet for the parade right!? Lol

@brianator LMAO! and i have 4 offroad tractors, but one is fully functional and ready to go, the other three need their fair share of work and the "yeeter beater" is going to my friend tommrow if things go as planned.

I will miss my old sears suburban but i couldnt find a cheap starter so i sold it. No time or space for it i loved the tractor and ill miss it but 200$ and storage space sounds pretty good right about now. And i sold my snow plow for 600$ and had to give my parents 240$ of it. Because they paid for it and i paid for the truck so done deal lol i had about 600$ ish and put 60 in the truck for gas and i am heading to my buddies house early tommrow morning and then to my grandpas immidiately after to work on my coleman trike and ride mini bikes around with him

the MTD yeeter beater sounds like its got a terrible knock and i didnt take it to my buddy he got busy and i wrecked my mini bike at my grandpas it was fun lol. and i had to go to tractor supply yesterday and got a bunch of useful stuff for pretty cheap. gotta love clearence am i right? and i exchanged a belt that was too short for my hotrod which also got a smaller rear pully so its gonna be 1-1 driven now how fast should it go if i remove the gov? idk yet but ill figure it out

So ill post a pic of what im workin with should i just make a pully stack to replace the vari drive on my mtd or should i make a seprate clutch with a 5/8 jackshaft. The frames been 6 speed swapped and i just gotta do a small bit of drilling and welding to make it perminant and its gonna have a 22hp briggs vtwin so its gonna be quick the idea is to make it as fast as i can im hoping for 50-60mph if its even possible

I don’t know about going that fast... LOL.

But, I have been wanting to experiment with using the varidrive as a jackshaft. Set the pulleys where you want them... that is put the ‘vari’ center piece where you want it. You can center it, making the stack just like two equal pulleys or move it to give you some ‘ratio’. Then weld the center section to the shaft. I planned to do that on the Rat Rod until I figured out to use a mower deck spindle instead. It would have been MUCH easier to use the varidrive. Worth a try... then just make a normal clutch setup for the front belt.
