| I recently picked up a locked mst-205 transaxle with brand new mud tires on it. My current lawn tractor has a peerless 930-011 6-speed transaxle. I was wondering if the "locker" setup internally in the mst-205 would completely swap over to the 930-011 transaxle. trying to avoid making a custom shift linkage for the mst-205 if i were to install the whole transaxle instead. | |

| Both transaxles have an open diff, but yes it will all swap over. The only possible difference would be the shift shaft height. Murray seems to like tall ones, everyone else uses short shafts flush with the top of the case | |

what will swap over.. the internal parts in each or installing the whole mst-205 transaxle on the tractor?

Correct, was wondering if the differential assembly swaps over.

| I believe the spider gears and ring gear are the same in both models, but I haven't really messed around with those style transaxles very much so I can't say for certain. If you feel like it you could open them both up and just try the fitment, then you would know for sure. Thank you for your input. I was hoping to know for sure before splitting both cases but it looks like I might as well split them and check them out | |

| Wait. Hold up. Don't MSTs have taller, skinnier ring gears and 5/8 cross pins instead 1/2 like the 900 series? | |
