| I got a free mower the other day that didn't a header or muffler and i need to build some kind of exhaust for it. I'm not to worried about looks, but I am on things like back pressure, performance and valves. Can someone clear some light on the subject.
My dad thought stacks would be cool.

| O and if it helps, the engine is a 12.5hp 1995 Briggs and Stratton with both a (I believe) 1" thread and flange exhaust mount. | |

| The simplest way would be to build one out of 1" pipe.
a couple of elbows should give enough backpressure.
It will need to be supported to avoid broken threads or cracked cylinder head.

Which ever ones you like. Adding more bends equals more back pressure and a bit quieter noise

| This might seem stupid but can i put a mufler about halfway up the stack so it isnt that loud. (neighbors )If it would work i have either a push mower mufler and a 20hp koler mufler. Note: This is going on a 12.5 horespower flathead briggs. | |

For a muffler use something wiyh at least (or bigger) inlet size as the pipe you are using for exhaust. Or you can buy a small tractor muffler and modify it to fit.

| sweet pics man. And there shoulf be two wires and a plug that come out near the dipstick. that's how it is on mine, or was. I just plug in the lights, and the power goes to the bulbs, and then a ground wire is on the front of the motor. | |
