Oh yeah, I'm the same way. Been trying to get an oppy for a couple years now, cheapest I've seen one was $200. Absurd.

That is some fail thread material right there

Easy to see why the fuel tank mounted in the steering tower would break so easilly.

Hahaha, it actually got it's first pulley swap a little over a year ago. He just really beat the snot out of it.... This is why I'm gonna reinforce the MM's frame once the build off ends.

Haha, the tank is actually fine. My brother covered it in black stop leak when he got it to prevent a leak, now he wants a new one since this one looks like crap. I'll probably try and clean it up and use it on a buy/sell tractor.

Then again, it's not as bad as it looks (it is really ), if we left the clutch pedal on and left the homemade bracket holding the rear together untouched then it would be a lot better. It'd still flex like crazy, but it'd be better. When he'd come of a hard jump, you could see the shock move across the whole mower

Man did we get a deal today! 3 free MTD's and they're all under 4 years old! One has a bad tranaxle, no engine and deck, which is getting stripped down tomorrow, another has everything but a gas tank, coil, carb, and starter, and the 3rd one runs on starting fluid! They have PowerMore 420cc (13HP) engines, the beloved FNR tranaxle, and 42 inch decks. The one will probably cost $100 in engine parts (someone took the darn dipsticks out of 'em for reasons unknown, leaving them full of water). The other was infested with rat nest, which has cost a kill wire, and of course the Vari-drive system is messed up. But 3 for free, and under 4 years old, that's what I'm talkin' about! Soon as I can post pics they'll be in the Tractor Repair thread.

Isn't this what always comes to mind when the name Barbie is mentioned?  This is the definition of insane fun (besides the ATLTs of course)!

Ugh... well, I back to the land of living. Man I hate being sick and stuck in bed. It's for the birds.

Oh yeah, I've been trying to evade getting sick but it seems to follow me wherever I go LOL. Been holding out so far... I plan to keep it that way...

My brother basically got a new mower today... The tranny and engine off the old one is going on this... It was gonna go to the scrap yard tomorrow.
