Ugh... I seem to have lost or misplaced my clutch spring. I did some minor assembly of the painted parts and am at a standstill till I find that spring!
Grr....

Funny part of the story, that spring has been in my way for the past 2 months, and now that I am ready to put it back on. Nowhere to be found. It's also time to do a garage cleanup this weekend. I bet it is under something. LOL!

I usually make a point that sunday afternoon is workbench cleanup so I do not loose tools. I have not done so in a month now so I am getting a lot of clutter. I found it under all the clutter. Go figure. I'll get a boring pic later of the little parts installed.
In other news, I am contemplating joining a tractor club. It was started for antique iron big tractors but has members with garden ones too. My brother in law's family are founding members.

A minor check-in update. I has a few minutes this afternoon since the dog had to stay overnight with the vet. Getting a little closer. Brakes work really really good. I did realize at this point without the body there is some minor frame twist. Figured that out when I put it on it's side to put in pins.

Man those lock 'er right up! Should work great. Also, now that I see a person standing next to Kal I realize what big beast of a tractor it's gonna be! Hahaha.

Oh man you couldn't showcase the suspension movement while you were at it.
Maybe next time.

This is such a nice Mower, Love it! The Brakes are working excellent. Ca'nt wait to hear the Engine running, and Kal-El driving.
I've already tested it once.
I bought the engine for about 25-35 bucks about a year and half ago. This is my first start of that engine. Took a bit as the bowl was empty.
I tested it a couple more times, those times it fired right up.

Yeah, those breaks should work fine being almost automotive on that large disc.
So, looks like I will need to cut notches in my 5/8 rod I want to use for my steering and weld it back in the angles I need. I just cannot seem to get it to bend. Seems harder than I am use to. Well it should take a good melting weld then. LOL

Start a fire outside and lay it in the hot coals for a little bit. It will bend after you heat it to a cherry red. This way you don't have to go out and spend $500 on torches. You can thank @SebastianAlbrecht from Germany for this tip.

I might get that a whirl. It's just that we are in our windy season and it has not truly greened up yet. I had it pretty red yesterday with a torch and I was hanging off the rod with almost all my weight but not bending. Nice thing about notch and weld, is I can get he angles the way I want maybe first try.
Doggo (Snoopy is his real name) is home again so work will slow again.
