Craftsman GT3000 "MUTT" Part I

Yep, my posts there pretty much show it. The hose runs up to right under the seat, where it has a little fuel filter to halt the ingress of dust. Although now that I've had her up to the fenders, i might run a longer hose to the intake...

18hp is on. Helluva lot more power now, it's so much better. Dunno why i stayed with that 20hp


Put the Execs back on, way better than the ITPs

I'd still rebuild the 20 because it sounded really cool, and might make a difference.

Thank goodness, those Mud Lites didn't really look right on ol' MUTT in my opinion. Haha. Nice to see 'er out again Rich!

Probably just stuff like bored out and oversized pistons to get to 50 cubes, smog pump supercharger, extensive block and head work to increase comression and fuel/air flow, aggressive cam, fins shaved off the flywheel with custom water cooled setup, twin carbs and custom manifolds for each one....




Or, maybe just a set of compression rings and some gaskets.

Man, that looks pretty slick Rich! The way it contours to the foot boards is pretty cool. How's she sound?

Sounds nice. Just drove er to put her away for the night. Good and throaty, not so sharp on the ears.

It's not even done yet. Gonna go up over the axle and out the back, this is just what i had time for tonight.

Ha! I have that the Murray out on someone else's land almost a week now! Of course nobody can get to it as it is behind a huge body of water and surrounded on all side by deep mud and water , so there's not a chance of somebody stumbling onto it. But if they took it only think I would miss would be my nice thermos I left strapped on it. Sent me those itp mud lites rich. I will buy them from you. Always need more tires

Neat, should keep the fuel in the tank nice and warm.   Seriously though it looks good Rich! Should sound great as well

Maybe there a way to make a heated seat using the heat from the exhaust right there for the winter time.

I might wrap this exhaust, that'd be cool.

Also i gotta weld a washer on my support to keep the pipe off my brake linkage

The gas tank is right there, lol.

Mutt made a successful road trip to a local auction, but i noticed she was running really fat, probably due to the snorkel and longer exhaust. Gonna have to do something with that.

Homemade smog pump supercharger setup would fix that most likely. Haha, just kidding. Does your carb have an adjustable idle and main jet?

Adjustable idle only. I can make it adjustable main though, maybe

Probably could, I did it with the carb on the MTD remember? If I did it surely you could, haha.
