| I very much doubt it. I've had this intake off and the gaskets were pristine. Also I sprayed carb clean around all connections and nothing changed. | |

| Put a full tank of gas in her and messed around for a bit. Even after blowing out the filter and getting the fuel line as straight as possible she still runs as crappy. Smells like she's running extremely rich too. Wonder if it's the coil missing? | |

| That’s possible. It must not be the carb if the carbs work fine on the other engines. You’ve narrowed it down to something on the engine. Coil seems very likely. Maybe just try a set of new plugs and see what happens? | |

| Maybe I'll try another pair. Can't hardly read the plugs on oppys. If they're not black then they're not running right, and are probably overheating. | |

| How about one cylinder having way different compression that the other? Does the engine crank over really smoothly? or does it get faster, slower, faster, slower and so on? | |

| sounds like water in the gas, it will sit at the bottom of the fuel tank, will make your stuff run stupid. happened to me a bunch on various tractors. also had a couple carburators so old and worn, where the main butterfly operates the shaft was wore so much that air was sneaking in randomly and making me pull my hair out | |

| I have another gas tank to put in her, i might try that, then i can dump out and rinse this one. Kind of a waste of gas but oh well. Also this carb is nice and tight. Man, this gas tank is a pain to get out... Oh, and some pics of her out in the pond drain the other day. I found out i can make the 4ft drop into the one end if I'm careful | |

| On all my craftsmans before I ran them I disconnected the gas tank line and drained them then ran about 10 gallons of water though it to clean it out then let it dry in the sun for a couple of days toare sure everything was out of them | |

| Bet Noticed the fender had a bunch of cracks under the seat mount and some starting at the inside corners so i got on that instead. The old fender had already been given special treatment, so i decided to adapt it to this one. All welded in on this side. Top plate welded, she's solid now I didn't think to mask it, whatev lol. Oh and tomorrow I'll make something to lock down the rear rack. Oh and the gas tank is all on and hooked up but i didnt fill her or try to run it. | |

| Well i took a semester mig welding class, but really MIG makes everybody look pro. Also helps to know where to have your settings for what you're welding. You can't hardly consider yourself a welder if you cant set up one.
If your welds break when you hit them with a hammer you either need to stop quenching them to cool them or you need to clean your base materials a lot better. It's a lot easier to weld clean metal than nasty rusty crap, and the beads look a lot jicer

| The large wires coming from the power lines feeding circuit breaker panels are usually Aluminum. Aluminum house wire is out there. It was used briefly during the 70s I think during a copper shortage. Due to the reactivity of Aluminum with other metals, it caused a lot of corrosion with led to bad electrical connections and fires. Still used commonly for service feeds though.
Back on topic. Great welds Rich.

| I mean like muck said, mig is basically a big hot glue gun, it's not hard to pull off.
Put her all back together. Didn't feel like doing the rack lock. I ran her around for a bit but she still kinda runs rough. The stuttering is a bit better though. Still does the thing where if i run the front end up the rpms come up.
Oh and it's time for some new brake pads lol. I have no brakes and I'm outta room to adjust lol.
