My bearings were shot, the top one wouldn't move and the bottom needle bearing fell apart . Are they just abfewbbucks?

Ball bearings arent much. Don't think needle bearings are either, but I'm not sure

for what you want to use this adapter that attaches the hose? new Air Filter Snorkel? If it will be the adapter between the air filter and the carb, do'nt forget to add a fitting for the crankcase ventilation

Since this is for an Oppy I would bore it out bigger to increase air flow. Cool looking part though. The thinner wall will make it tricky to tap for the fitting for the PCV valve. Do you know someone that can tig on a threaded bung on there?

I could have somebody in welding do it. Not a big deal though, really. And if you look down the bore of the carb, it gets down to like 3/4", so i think 1" will be alright.

Hehehe, it's true I'm telling ya! Also I agree about the bore, the actual venturi of the carb is much smaller that 1", so I bet that setup will work fine.

Oh I see now that 1" should be fine.

Anyway I would drop the bowl on the carburetor to make sure there’s no oil in it and put in a new set of plugs since that set is fouled from all the oil.
