| The engine's currently not running due to an oil leak and fuel starvation. I am a bit concerned about the exhaust being rolled over onto, but hopefully I won't. I might also add a brace to reduce the chance of breaking the block if I land it on the left side.
Btw been looking at buying a 7/16-20 bolt. There appears to be 7/16-20 UNF or UNC ect. Does it matter what one it is?

| UN"F" just means "UNified Fine" thread. 7/16-20 is a fine thread bolt. The one you need.
UN"C" would be "UNified Coarse", probably a 14 or 16 thread.

| Haven't ordered up a bolt yet.
Decided to see if the engine would run today but it appears to be ceased. Don't know how that happened. I have to take the engine off anyway to fix an oil leak at the sump gasket so I'll take the head off and see what's up.
I never seem to have this thing going for too long before something breaks so I'm rebuilding the whole thing to make it better.

| Dunno. Pulled the engine off today and got the piston unstuck. Doesn't seem to be any marks on the cylinder liner. Next job is to fix the oil leak from the sump. | |

| Took the sump off and cleaned the old gasket off and put some instant gasket maker on the surface. Been sitting for a few days now and there doesn't appear to be any oil leaks. | |

| Fired the engine up yesterday. At idle there is a bit of blue smoke which seems to be caused by a build up of oil in the combustion chamber because it disappears once you rev it. It's still leaking oil though, not too sure where it's coming from. | |

| I have a spare block and sump from the original engine if I need it. The leak seems to be coming from the exhaust side of the engine, but it could just be that the tyre is flat on that side. | |

| You mentioned some oil is slipping by into the combustion chamber. Is it possible that some of that oil is slipping by the valve and out the exhaust port between the head and exhaust flange? | |

| I don't think so. The leak seems to have stopped now. I do have some work to do on her to get her up and running. The rear pulley needs welded and the clutch needs finished. | |

| Time for a build revival (I hope!) The oilleak appears to have stopped. I installed a slightly smaller carb onto the engine to give her more low end power. I'm also going to change the stack to a side pipe. | |

| Thanks Mighty!
For the exhaust I think I might just quickly fab up a simple side exit exhaust, think it'll look good
I need to get the clutch working, get a front and rear pulley and a belt and it should be driving. The plan is to get it moving under its own steam and then improve on it.

| Building up the peerless 832 trans that I have, possibly locking it, figuring out throttle/choke, doing the brakes, heavy duty tow bar, bumpers, even maybe a forklift for the rear, who knows. | |
