I recently acquired a Westwood t1200 fluid drive with a hydro transmission. It had been unused sitting in a shed for several years.
I was able to get it up and running and evey thing on it working except for the charge and ignition lights on the dash. A new battery, air filter and liberal use of electronic cleaner helped.
I have had trouble identifying the unit and finding a suitable manual the nearest i could locate was one from the years 1989 to 1993 that appeared to match it most closely. I sent some pics to Westwood hoping they could identify the mower as there is no id sticker on it and their best guess was 1984-5.
The mowing deck was not a standard westwood deck according to the westwood email and they had not seen one of this type before, strange as it is painted in the same colour as the rest of the tractor.
I noted that the charge light and ignition light on the dash was not illuminating so started looking at the wiring after a bit of research i found that the mower had no pcb and appeared to have had the wiring modified.
I cannot find a westwood circuit diagram with wire colour codings the same as in this machine. Some wires are similar but not exact.
I am open to comments and if anyone could identify this mower i would be more than happy.
It is currently working and apart from the dash lights doesnt appear to have any other problems, my only concern is that if i need belts or blades for the deck i dont know part numbers.

Further to my post, i have also tried to match the chassis to a year using google but one noticable difference to 1994 models is a lack of vents on the side of the hood. The briggs and stratton 12hp is dated from 1992.

Assuming the engine is original, if it’s an early ‘92 it’s probably a ‘92 chassis. If it’s a later ‘92...later than April or may, it’s probably a ‘93 model year tractor

The engine appears to be original, but wotking on that premise the chassis doesnt match a machine dated 92 or 93. Bit of a conundrum.

I don't know much about westwoods and dynamarks and stuff of the like, but if you do need belts, the best way to do it without a part number is to take the belts off, cut them, and measure how long it is when it is tight. Then you have a belt size that you can just ask a parts store for.
