Well Here is my new to me (and free!) Allis Chalmers B-8 I don't know the year. I think somewhere around 1967? Going off the grill and lack of lights.
I got this tractor for free from a good buddy after helping him put a clutch in his 1991 Ford F150 (Borg Warner T-18's are heavy lol.)

Before my friend gave it to me he messed with it but he got it at an auction with a B-11 and he decided he would rather have the B-11 so I got the B-8.
When he messed with it he got it to pop and try and run but that's it.
She's got what I assume to be the original (going off how grimy she is.) 8HP Brigs Flathead.

I attempted to clean the carb but with my manly powers of destruction snapped of the main jet. "Alice" Allis Chalmers B-8 2429134702
So she's got a new carb coming that had real good reviews for only 19 bucks! cheers
The only thing on it to worry about is the steering is locked up hardcore. I found the point of concern though and have it soaking with PB Blaster as we speak. It appears to be the main gear on the end of the steering shaft. There seems to be a bearing on the end that must have just gotten stuck. In theory should be that hard but we all know how that goes.

The trans and PTO side of things works well as it is. A little bit of adjusting and we should be good. I tested the deck and with the PTO engaged the deck spins good with the engine so hooray! I honestly just want to get this thing mowing and have a sweet lawn mower for how every long I keep it!
If anyone know something I should please let me know!

I’ve found with steering stuff, old grease will sometimes turn to solid glue and really seize stuff up. Some heat really helps loosen things up in that case. The john deere swept axle i put in the 414 was super seized when i got it, once i wrestled the spindles out and cleaned the grease out the dang thing was just about loose lol.

Yea I am sure hoping I don't have to pull the steering gear out. That sounds like a pain. One thing I didn't mention is that since its missing the sift knob I found out the a Hurst Super-Matic ratchet shifter knob has the same thread patter. lol My ratchet shifter isn't in a vehicle so Alice can have that knob for now lol.
