| Noticed we dont have a fail thread and decided to make one becuse there is a TON of fails in the offroad mower community. Disclaimer: This thread IS NOT a serious thread, so if your build ends up here dont take it seriously. Rules: No unnecessary bashing Make sure its a actual fail and post worthy, not just someone stuck. Has to be mower/tractor related, for the most part, like maybe bad welds on a mower. Try to post original photos, dont post pictures that have already been posted. I'll start. Front end, WTF? Flat pulley so the V belt can grab it... Riiiiiiight I saw this a few days back. Check out the scaffolding! | |

| That's rough, looks like rims welded to rims as well. That's usually a recipe for disaster haha. A couple pictures from when I broke my pitman arm with the old steering box. And a picture of my horrible shifter hahaha. | And that, friendo, is why there's a torque rating for the flywheel bolt/nut. Just take the broken key out and line up the flywheel to the crank as best as you can. That aluminum key is an engineered safe point, so you don't bend the crank or something when the engine suddenly stop. It's an alignment tool really. If you do replace it, go with an aluminum one rather than steel. Note: most Briggs engines use that same key. So if you have a junk Briggs pushmower around, there's one. How it ran, I don't know... Cast iron doesn't bend, dummy. The second time this broke. I only weigh 155! Lost a tie rod nut. Used locktite after I got it back to the house. Borrowed my shift knob to get home This one didn't exactly buff out. In fact, I replaced the whole fender and running board assembly rather than welding it.. | |
