That synchro didn’t wanna be a synchro anymore

It wanted some extra cooling.

Reasons go oppy:
-No synchro to be thrown through block
-Self balancing
-Blocks aren't weak like single blocks

I hate the the horrible little C-clip thing Briggs put on the newer style flathead starters, what a pain. I wish it was held on with a stover nut like the starter on my Kohler Magnum.

That is the worst design ever, even a roll pin is better. I have got them on and off but after a few times they get loose & I had to put tack welds on them.

Yep, haha. Definitely not a fan of that setup, at all.

I like the old ones with the roll pins. Those C clips are a pain, i think I've lost two... lol.

I think the armature on the starter on mutt broke loose on the shaft, i hear it turning without turning the engine sometimes, but it catches eventually

LOL I hate C clips and E clips, especially on tire spindles. They come off and off goes your tire. I got so fed up with losing them that I just put some lock collars on instead.

When you are using the arm ripping corded drill in the vise. Your drill bit bites but you are strong enough to hang on...

Yeah, this time I came out unscathed.  I've only hurt myself a couple times and one good bruise to my stomach from the thing whipping around on me before.  Doesn't matter if I have the extra handle on or not. It just adds to the projectile.  LOL

Needless to say I only use it when I have to use it.
