| Shur. Its been a while since I have updated and im too lazy to get pics, sooooooooooo ill cover the major parts. ----- Did a brake mod similar to Mike Mayeran on Southern Offroad Mowers. I took a 4" drum, centered it as best as I could on the stock rotor, and welded it. Then I welded a piece of 1/4" rod to the end of the brake shaft that came out of the transaxle and threaded it. I slipped the new brake assembly on and used a 5/8" nut as a spacer and put two 1/4" nuts on the end of the rod and tightened them against each other. This allows the drum assembly to float a bit. The band was connected using a 3/8" bolt that was mounted to the front support arm. The band is actuated by cable which is pulled from the old PTO lever on the dash. ----- I got my pulleys welded (5" front, 4.5" rear) and got a belt that fit (85"). I modified the original rear retainers by welding some bent 1/4" rod to them. The rest of the retainers worked save for the frontmost one, but it only has fallen of once so far and that was from hitting something hard while clutched so it isnt going to be an issue. The shifter was kept stock. I used a lever off a Foote transaxle (the original trans that was in the Rv1 pre-MST206 swap) and welded about 3" of 1/2" 14ga square stock to the end. I then welded some 1/8" thick flat stock off that, parallel to the now bottom lever arm, and welded washers together to hold the shifter arm. This not only gave the shifter arm a bit more height but kept the original sweep of the "nut buster" shifter. I also welded in a bump stop for NEUTRAL. Beyond the stop to the right is REVERSE. Using a 1/4" air hose nipple, i cut over 1/2 the threads off of it and screwed it into the Neutral Safety Switch hole with some teflon for a tighter seat. I used some 1/4" ID vinyl tubing for a vent/ fill line and ran it up by the tank to a small paper element fuel filter and then ran more tubing out the back of the tractor with one helix to keep water and crap out. Lots more to update, too lazy. maybe another time. | |

| Nice, everything is nice and clean. I would be slightly more hyped up about building stuff if the parts I tried to use didn't require a ton of rust removal first. But anyway, how come the trans kicked that much oil out of the line? Maybe a catch can or box in place of the fuel filter so that gravity helps keep the oil from making it up the line. Nifty looking brake setup. | |

| what is your clutch setup gonna be? I'm having a heckuva time with mine on my LT4K. I did a reversed like the mowrons did but must've been slightly off. The pedal push was horrendous and the spring rubbed on the pulley so it made a god-awful sound when spinning. I dunno, I need to do something though. | |

| It can be tricky reversing the clutch on the craftsman. You just have to play with angles, and where to put hole for clutch rod. You can move the spring to get away from rubbing the pulley. | |

| I asked Doc not to include it. While it met the criteria, it was still unfinished and I didnt want it to appear with the builds that everybody had put more time and work into to get finished for the voting.
Next year though, lookout.
Ill still be working on this, just when I have time though. Rushing through this burnt me out, I need some time to backpedal and see where I need to go at with it from here. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures
