What tires to get

I have lawn tractor with 28x8x8 turf tires and I want some better tires. I can't find any tires that size so can anyone help.

you could try looking for ag tires in 28x9x8 or try looking for different rims that can fit the bolt pattern

you might want to look at your tire size again I don't think they make 28in tires for an 8in rim

What year and model tractor? I could look up what the stock tire actually is and give ya some suggestions then

Yeah, 28x8x8 doesnt make a whole lot of sense.  Maybe 28x8x18? Unlikely, but maybe.

What about 18x8x8?

I really like my 27x11x12 Kenda Bearclaws, and i havent even run em yet.  Atv tire makers sell tires up into the 31in range, but like others said, not at all for an 8in wheel.

Or break out, or buy a tire groover and turn your turfs into a Vtread or whatever kind of tread you fancy.


Also, if you really do have that much sidewall to play with, beadlocks (or a tube or something) dumped to crazy low psi, you dont need a very aggressive tread with that large a contact patch.  Much more flotation than digging.

Ill assume you meant 18x8x8 . They do make tire this size that are aggressive Carlisle super lugs for example .
