Pony's MTD Seven Hundred (Battle Wagon)

Here is my entry boys, an all around offroad woods mowe based on a MTD 700 7hp mower from a long time ago (year still undetermined :/), with a gnarly military theme soon to come!

What I've done so far before contest, mounted gx200 (won't run all of a sudden)
Mounted front tires (fitting modifications still heavily needed)
Took it apart..
Lots of mockup
Removed transaxle
Fixed a steering gear by welding and grinding in teeth.

THAT IS ALL. It looks like more but seriously that' it.

Here is where she started on day 1 when I brought it home about a month ago (haven't had much time to work on it)






Here it is in mockup form. (back tires not mounted, its on a jack)



Had to remove transaxle after pounding on the hub and the axle came with it. (e-clip inside broke)



Fixed the eclip lol

While I was in there I locked the diff by welding the spiders to the pin. (like fearlessfront) (sorry no picture)

I love this thing looks stout, love the tires and motor!

Nice heavy looking machine. I had an mtd similar to that quite a while ago.

I really need to find a transmission like that... what model was it again?

Its a 3speed with reverse. Model is Peerless 1205.

Update!
Got transaxle in and locked!
Now It just needs pulled back out, wire wheeled, and painted, then filled with oil!

Got a bad ass shifter knob lol

I might if i can figure Something out to move my clutch back towards me some.

Nerf bars will help alot too.

Might do something like this to get my clearance in the front.. Although, I think I'd rather make some axle mods.. We will see. I am gonna try and make some fenders for the front tires.

Haven't been able to clean my carb.. been so damn cold.

yea its really cold i haven't been able to do anything in the garage friday i think it really stinks

Don't get your shorts twisted. If your pal shows up here, he can contact me, and I'm sure we can work it out. But as things are, you're not doing him any favours by getting pissy. He was issued the warnings to hopefully get his attention.

Got er Running today! Jet was clogged. Shoved some tiny wire thru it and it was clean. Then I drilled out my wheels with hole saw to get the old mtd hub out of it and made room for the new 3bolt hub to bolt up to it. Also. Got keyways for my motor pulley, tires.. and ofcourse.. I took no pictures lol
