I've never thought about it but you could wire the brake lights to the old clutch safety switch...

Yes, perhaps you could use the old clutch start switch. I have brake lights set up on MULE. Not because I needed to, but because I could. I used the brake light switch from a motorcycle. Weatherproof and highly adjustable.

I have neither the bracket or the switch just the tab on my brake rod but was thinking the same . The problem I have is finding a light which will sit on the rear mudguard and act as a tail stop light. I found a natty switch for indicators from a Massy Ferguson but in the UK for the age of the vehicle this is not necessary. Am looking for something to fit on the arches this is hard the only thing I have found is a fog light which will mount and alter its angle these will not cope with a tail stop bulb though

I know this is an old thread, but it's legal to ride your mower on the road in west virginia? Did you register it for as something or what?

No.

You can get them registered as an ATV, but as a normal vehicle? No. Youll get pulled over (or a stern talking to in my case).

LOL where I am I can get my Mower Licensed as a Road use ATV, I only need to get my peerless 800 for my Tractor and do a 1:1 on it. now what Speed Ratio will I have with a Peerless 800 5 speed with 22" and a 1:1?

Now on the lights, I have running lights on my tractor right now, I only need to buy amber lights for the front. and rig up break lights, I'm doing LED's for that.
