Haspin 2014! June 11th - 15th

What!?!  We already are setting the date for Haspin Next year?!?  Since there has been quite a bit of interest, some from people with long distance drives and/or scheduling difficulties, we are already setting the date for Haspin next year.

Where: Haspin Acres, located in Laurel, IN
When: June 11th through 15th.
What: Offroad rally, jointly with select members of the SteelSoldiers military vehicle enthusiasts.

Haspin is about 800 acres. Ride anywhere but campground. No electricity or water in campground. One set of restrooms and showers, about 1/8th mile from campground, and they can be very muddy. Water is available at office, and beside drag strip. Can camp in woods or campground. Last I knew, the price to get in is about $18 per day, not sure if we will rate any kind of discount on entry fee, but active military members get an additional discount (usually free & requires ID).

Haspin requires all riders to wear helmets on the trails. If you do not bring a helmet, they won't let you ride.

If you are under age and planning to come, you must work out the Haspin Acres waiver ahead of time.  We do not want anyone to drive a long distance and be turned away at the gate.  We will not pretend to be anyone's parents.

Question,

I might go if I get permission (no promises).

I am 13 years old, and will be 13yrs old when we go.
Can I turn if the slip at the gate or do I need to mail it ahead of time?

I love the sound of that, that will really be proven at those trails. I could see mine rolling over so much, that if need a few rolls of duck tape to fix it.

LOL well mine's gonna be lowered a bit (right around the ride height of TRB's tractor) WITH SUSPENSION COMPRESSED without the suspension compressed it will be right around the height of a regular mower.

So leafs and swing arm? It will be a set-up like an atv.  I also would like it to go right around 25-30 mph to keep up with the group.


Also another question.. How much are the T-shirts?

The t-shirts have been about $20, but I'll get an exact price once I get the design done.

rainbow, you should do this to your bus!!!!

I totally already had that idea... not gonna happen though. One of my major reasons for getting a bus was no leaks.... not intending to make more potential leak points.

I dont think ill be able to go. Not because of the time but I dont plan on getting the Rally till mid-late summer, and tje Gravely is going to consume so much of my time and money that I wont be able to do a dual build. Next uear should definitely be do-able.
