need help quick! Kohler Command wont crank.

my motor was running fine, and then i shut it off, when i tried to start it again it wont crank, i changed the plug, it still wont crank, it isn't getting spark need help really quick, its a kohler command 16 hp

check your kill circuit - the ground wire from the coil assembly. I bet its cutting the spark off.

have that wired to a flip switch, think the swith might have shorted?

By crank, do you mean it wont catch and run, or that it wont spin at all?

Try bypass the switch.

possibly yes. That or it is shorted near the terminal on the coil.

got it running, i tested everywire and switch with a tester, the kill switch was shorted, replaced it, still didnt work, turns out the motor wasn't grounded all the way, fixed that and it crunk right up
