hey guys had the monster out for the first time riding some trails at my house with two friends and there dirtbikes, let me say now monstermower doesnt like steap hills and sketchy creek crossings i almost rolled it a bunch of times, and i went over a small snow hill and almost rolled it end to end but the push bar saved me. i started doing some work on it today fixing things from yesterday and trying to fix a long time needed oil leak




everything is just covered with oil and dirt mixture, i think it may have to do with the oil level being a little over full line, but ill figure it out heres some pictures from yesterday

Those pics of your engine look way too familiar. I just spent some time earlier this evening cleaning up my opposed twin. Looks like you have just as much gunk as I did. Mine has a few leaks, one is around the vacuum line that runs to the fuel pump. I also think the lower gasket, called the sump pan gasket I think, is leaking. Needless to say I was wearing more grease by the time I was done than the engine had left on it.

did some work the past couple days, might be going down to the hallow again tomarow, hopefully i am my friend ditched me so id be going by my self :/

like 40-50$ at harborfrieght with a coupon, but i wouldnt recomend it so far ive had little problems with mine but my friend has had to return 5 of them all ready

I have a HF cheapy winch, not camo though. Out of curiosity, what were the problems with your friends winch. I'm assuming it wasn't the same problem all 5 times? Mine seems fine but didn't come with a fairlead, which I need to build.

I got a winch like that for xmas- rated for 3000lbs- even comes with a remote. Mine will pull more shed duty then trail duty tho- make it easier for lifting heavy motors and tractors.

1 didnt work at all, 2 would only power in, not out. 3 solenoid stuck and no matter what if you hooked it up to the battery it would always try and power in without pressing in the button, but hes either on his 4th ofr 5th one now cant remember and i always have to take it back for him cause i go up there on weekends and i have a hf down here and he doesnt have one up my camp

i think this is going to become a nice clean show mower. im thinking about stripping it down, putting a smaller motor in it that doesnt leak oil and paint it all up nice.

that thing is SWEEET kind of been thinking about doing this with mine but not sure yet, was it a really hard building process or not????

the front end is easy, and with a peerless 700 gear box the back end is kinda hard, and if your going to lift it id look at my other monster mower build of dropping your tranny its easier and doesnt break as easy

Thanks, i think im going to upgrade my monster . im thinking about over winter redoing alot
1. redo suspension
2. drop a transaxle in this B*tch
3.different motor
4. fix the steering
5. PAINT THE WHOLE THING

these are my plans for the winter, im actualy gonna be downgrading and making this into a really nice clean monster mower more for show but capable to offroad and try and sell it like ive planned on for awhile now. and then build another bullet prood monster mower with a peerless 820 in it but these are all long term goals i cant find a job at the moment and need a truck.....
