| I was wondering what everyone is using for front rims? I was trying to find some 8 inch rims, but they don't seem to have bearings. (Rear) I was thinking about installing a grease zerk and filling the keyway in with jb weld or something. | |

| Filling the keyway is not neccessary, but go ahead and do it if you you have the time. Grease zerks are a must. I have been using 8" fronts from big MTD tractors , they have bushings and zerks. The rims from old cub cadets, sears, case, john deere, and others will have 8" bearing style front rims. Most older tractors with 12" bolt on rear wheels will have 8" fronts. | |

| If its for plain regular running around thru the swamp/trails - stock rear wheels should be fine - a grease zerk could be fitted if its drilled and tapped.
If its for some high speed running around , definitely berings in the front hubs, not to mention making sure the wheels are locked on ( so wont come off) - when i was building a fast mod, i invested in some tapered bering hubs ( like on cars) for the front and some 4 bolt golf karts wheels - mine were like $40 each from northern tools - i bot some smaller hubs for 6" rims for another mod tractor - they were plain roller berings and a lil cheeper. | |

| Thread from the dead! LOL I welded Posi-Lube trailer spindles in pace of the factory spindles. Then, triler hubs with a 4-on-4 pattern, which allows the use of any trailer wheels. In this case, I'm using 4.80x4.00-8 (16") snowblower meat. | |
