It’s weird. Trees are already leafing and grass is nearing mowing season. And snow. I like to say that NY gets 3 seasons: Cold, ungodly cold, and holy that’s hot...rarely you can go outside and have it be 65 with a cool breeze lol.

Thanks to the host of ATLTF, we now have an embed button for social media where embed is an option. Click the </> button next to youtube button and paste in your embed link then insert. They say it works with:
Sorry y'all for my absence from the forum lately. Been extremely busy with school and life and wrenching. We are setting up a very large tent to hold events every Friday and Saturday night. That's going to take up a lot of my time. Also my grandmother has been dying since January. She passed away about two weeks ago. The amount of care she required was incomprehensible. So that also was taking a lot of my time (going back and forth to Tampa because of her). It's just been one heck of a hard year so far. But I'm finally getting time to start updating the builds and repair thread regularly again. Now that I'm getting time I'm going full steam ahead in selling tractors. I'm looking at some more expensive projects and getting my permit this month which means I'll have more expenses which means I need to make more money which means more lawn tractors!
Anyway, thought I'd just take the time to give some reasons for my absence and to say I'm back. (hey now... I heard that shrug, lol)
EDIT: I almost forgot. The main reason I haven't posted almost anything this past months was because I managed to spill an entire glass of Kombucha on the keyboard of my laptop. I am now currently using that same laptop to write this with an external keyboard I ordered. LOL.

Sorry for your loss. Congrats on the permit though!
Thank you! NC is freakin strict about it tho. Our idiot governor and his CoViD pReCaUtIoNs have put any DMV appointments out at least a month. I've been actually trying to get it since October and it's now May. That's how much testing is involved. My best friend who lives in Florida got her permit in one day with no previous testing and that was during COVID. Georgia is almost the same. I don't get it.

Haha, thanks! I've just been lurking lately. Hopefully that changes starting now.

I had to go to the dmv here in NY last year. Called in early august and dmv “A” was booked straight until October. DMV “B” got me in 2 days later. Strange how stuff like that works out.
Supplies right now are weird too. Was looking to get a quart of rustoleum primer and that stuff was rarer than hens teeth around here. That and 2x4s have gone out of sight. I was hoping to make a tractor-sized carport to park a future project in but with how expensive lumber is I probably won’t this year. I’m in the process of putting in a gravel pad with some that came off the driveway when we switched to some different rock. Idea with this is to use some scrap roofing and free fill and gravel I had and only be out the cost of some 4x4s. That’s enough about me though. Lol

Employees are becoming rare as well. No one wants to work because of the stimulus checks. Burger King had to close the diner due to no employees... Lowe's is hurting for help... Walmart is paying the night shift stocker $15 an hour because no one will work. It's terrible.
Had a question about ball bearings. Wanted to put some in my front wheels but the only flanged ones I found were either rated meh or way too expensive. Found some though that seemed to be good quality but no flange but I’m worried that if I turn too sharp the rim will slide off the bearings (I will press them in though) What should I do? Could I try and grind in a grove for a snap ring with a lathe? Or should I just get some of the cheapo flanged bearings from China?
