| It's pretty sturdy from the factory. I will be removing one brace, so I may have to after that. I don't know for certain at this time. I may just modify the brace.
I will be going back to a stock front axle but I will be removing the horrible GT steering for a Rack & Pinon steering. Parts are on order.

I've seen one on Go Power Sports that look like it would work real well on a mower. was planning on getting one for my trail mower.

I should have lots of wrenching time not this weekend, but next. The Wife is headed out of town with her Mom to visit some family out of state. I'll have LOTS of free time. If I can get some Warm temps, I could potentially have the base frame repainted, but that may be a stretch.

Happy birthday to your wife! Yeah that is the top half of the 820 for Li'l Red. I was getting it out of the way while I was welding me a hub for the ring gear.

I'm so damn Jealous to that Mower! I probably should have multi-quoted, but I'm just too darn lazy today. I was shocked how easily turning an opposed would be on the old craftsman. I don't even need a new belt. May need a little trim on the steering brace. I'm going back about an inch larger than the original stock pulley. I may step up one more inch. I am uncertain at this time. Only care about hitting 8-10 on this.

| All right... not much to account for on Patriot. I did install a new air cleaner. Good to have it there while I do some cleaning of the engine. I did get it sprayed down today and all the sand washed off. I also, moved the new starter and ignition coil to this engine. Business card is there to remind me to set the gap tomorrow. This however will be my big project tomorrow. I would like to get this done so I can install it on the tractor. | |

| Would be a good idea to move the rack a little closer to the axle so the arms are angled back while going straight. That way when at full turn you are pulling the spindle arm with a straight or angled back rod. If the rod is slightly forward while at full turn, the rod might lock up at full turn. Little sample of what I mean. | |

| Thanks, I haven't really mocked it up yet as I need to fix the spindles first. The ones I have are too long for the axle. I will definitely keep those angles in mind for the build. I did exactly that with Kal's steering last year. It works smooth! | |
