This is one of those builds that will probably never be finished, but will change and morph/grow as time goes along.

Well I'm sad to see the hot rod go, but at least it will become another build! Also I'd definitely keep the leaves on the front of 'er, haha.

That's going to be an interesting one! Defiantly keep that front suspension, that looks well built. When I saw that opposed twin to the left, I was like "What in the world is that!?!". Then I realized it was sitting on your previous build off rig.

@Offroad MudMowers same lol. I took me a few seconds to figure out what the opportunity to was on.

That engine is going in the Craftsman .

I'd say if you're happy with the performance and handling of your front suspension there is no reason to remove it. How do you like it? I think it would look really cool on a worker. It would kinda have the look of a 10 wheeler with a single beam front axle.

Front end.  I will see about keeping the suspension.  Hate to say it, the steering sux.  LOL

Hmm...  As I slowly tear this down... I hate to say it, but I am kind of glad I did not place in the 2017 Build Off with this thing.  It may have looked good, but man, the delivery of end product SUCKED!  I didn't realize the steering got into the belt on right turns (probably why I lost the belt at times).  My leaf springs were crooked and one bracket was bent out of position.  Good thing this is a take it back to canvas and do over.

This is why I like it to take my Time to do stuff right, and it pais, since I took my time with MTD and I can abuse it rn and it does fine!

Tried Donuts (25th gear, inner tire spinning) and my Varidrive did it fine, also hauling a Trailer fully loaded with Wood 20th gear Uphill no problems!

I dont want to say that U botched since I know U build your Stuff good, but smtms stuff needs some more work or a redo

Sounds like Nellybelle and Sodzilla lol.

The funny thing is, when I built it, it did not get into the belt.  I think my steering arm got bent later I think.

Nothing sux more than having a 3 day weekend and not able to wrench because its so dang cold the wrenches would stick to your hands.

I know what you're saying ! i think we reached a whopping 12 Degrees today here in Indiana! when i got home from work it took me about two hours to knock the chill off in the shop. gas furnace and wood furnace both going

8 this morning... running about 19 yesterday and 24 today.  Good news we will be up to about 70 thursday!  YAY!

Yeah @Mightyraze...hang in there it will be warming up soon! I had a similar thought when it was 20F out yesterday, but with a little electric space heater it was about 31F by where I was working, not too bad.

They said we would get to 36 today, turned out it made it to 43.  Took advantage and did some stripping down to the frame.



All that is left to remind you of the old squatch is the front end.  Sorry, it will go back to more factory than it is now.  Those leafs are pretty screwed up.

You have definitely been busy Jerry. Can you get some close up pics of that awesome front suspension setup? have you decided if you're going to keep it or get rid of it?

I will be getting rid of it.
