[FINALIST] - MightyRaze's Project Patriot [2019 Build-Off Entry]

I was jumping on the receiver today with a slide in hitch with no ball. It didn't give.  Only the tires squished. Could finally tell I only have 5lbs pressure in them. Lol.

Those tires should make for a nice ride. Im digging the graphic but will the blue on blue take away from it?

The graphic on the tractor is not blue. The tractor Patriot is now officially done.  From here is just accessories.

Some have seen it... here is Patriot.

I have a couple more things "planned" but for the buildoff.  It is considered complete.









Funny how the outside other than paint, tires, fender lights and a sweet bumper, it looks original again.  Then underneath, the only thing still original is the transaxle. LOL  New motor, new orientation of that motor, new bracing, rack and pinion steering.  Front axle and spindles are from a FF20 sears as the original axle and spindles are on Kal.

Features beyond stock:

• HEAVY duty bumper 
  
• Integrated hidden 2500lb Winch in bumper
  
• Nilight flood lights on bumper
  
• LED Headlights
  
• Sourced an 18HP horizontal positioned in bay to not have belt bends or twists
  
• Ooga Horn

• both Headlight and Nilight switches light up

Accessories to come.  Ones I get done before the end of the build-off will be shown in final video.  I'm sure there will be more to come after that.

Paint and decals look gorgeous. Those rear tires are really cool too, never seen anything like them on a tractor.

Looks Great ! i'd say the STAR of the show !!!!! A lot of great work and fabrication went into that no doubt.

I'm not going to get around to ALL the accessories for Patriot this year, but I am working on getting one of them done before I film the final Video.



I just have a couple kinks to work out.  "literally"  HAHA.

So right now...

I was off today and I just finished up Patriot.  I was going to start some video.  First take out the door and the winch solenoid went out.  GRRR.....

So now I am waiting for a new one of those to install and try again.  I'll try to record again labor day.


The good news is, the wireless remote is still good. Plus I am going to install a dash switch as well.

So I added a couple updates to one of the attachments for Patriot that I will show off in the final video.  

I also made up a heat shield today from some scraps after I got ticked off at the winch.

So the solenoid has been sitting in a distribution center for 2 days just 2.5 hrs from the house.  So frustrating.  I hope the shipping info just hasn't updated and it comes today.  Also, the toggle switch has been installed on the dash.  Just waiting for the solenoid now.

Huh. Did you get it on Ebay? If so, you may be able to get your money back and keep the solenoid if it doesn't arrive before the ETA...

this thing looks like it would be super handy to have around, I like the paint too

Yeah got it on Ebay.  Came from Kentucky.  It made it to Texas (Dallas Area) in like 24 hours and has sat there for 3 going on 4 days now.  Unfortunately the deliver date is still a week out.  I was hoping for a quicker delivery until midnight Monday.

YAY got a text notification this morning it was local now.  Then about an hour later got notification it was out for delivery today!  I just may get this finished this weekend yet!

Got the solenoid today.  Worked for all of 5 seconds and fried.  Did some troubleshooting and it appears that the issue is the WINCH itself.  



Guess I will try the 25% coupon Monday for a new one.

Oh no.. That sucks man after that wait for the part. Is the winch fixable ?

I'm going to scrap that winch for parts. Get a new one Monday at HarborFreight with the 25% off coupon.

Nice! Those coupons are great to have.

Decided to go with the 20% coupon and got a new winch this morning. Ended up with one of the good ones that do not keep going after you let off the remote button.

Yes! I also did the dash switch anyways.

Project Patriot is now COMPLETE for the 2019 Build-Off.
