| Hello all,
I am in talks with an owner about a John Deere l100 15hp 6speed. I intend to do a rear pulley swap to get in the range of 20-30 mph. I am looking at 2-3 inch pulleys but don't know what pulleys are compatible with this mower. does anyone have experience with this?

| Actually for a rear pulley I believe it would be a 5/8" keyed bore. 1" would work for the engine though.
Also for what it's worth I think a 2 or 3 inch trans pulley is a bit small, might have some slippage issues. | Well 5/8" is the standard size for LT transaxles, but you should probably be measuring yours before you go spending money on a pulley. | You probably have a Spicer 4360 or something like that, I believe it'd be a 5/8" bore. And I wouldn't go under 4" on the rear pulley, you're gonna have some belt slip if you do. I'd have a 6" deck pulley modified for a drive pulley and a 4" on the rear to get the kind of speeds you want. Make sure your brakes are operable and your steering is tight too, death wobble is kind of terrifying on a lightweight mower.
