I can shift into every gear. - MatthewD wrote:
- Yikes, that frame was in bad shape! The Gutbrod frame is much better. The second Peerless 600 looks pretty good too.
Yep! That's why I scrapped it! Thanks. - CraftsmanQuad19 wrote:

Yeah, also Dynamark-based. Yep, that POS gave me the Vanguard and the AWS. Frame looks to 99% Identical - Crazy_Carl wrote:

| Here's my Plan on how to reinforce the Frame. I want it as lightweight as possible, and strong enough. I will weld Box Steel into the Frame and will cut a bit off the Front Axle Mount, to get the axle sitting lower for 2-3" And I will weld the Axle solid to the Frame. I don't need that Pivoting point anymore. | |

Good Idea! - Crazy_Carl wrote:

Cuz if I drive 38MPH with it, it will roll over in curves, and in straight road it will rock and roll over. With MTD on full speed in curves U can feel the frame is bending and flexing, the pivot pivots in 100%, and the rear wheel loses contact to the road, and the Diff makes trouble, then when your tire again hits the road, the mower jumps pretty fast forward.

Never drove the Dynamark, but the Gutbrod that has the same frame, has tons of frame flex, my dads pan frame Mowing Murray is very strong compared to it. MTD is a little bit worse.

| CHANGE OF PLANS
Yep, you red right! I change my Plans for this Build AGAIN!!!
And those will be the FINAL BUILD PLANS!!
I will throw a 1" Live Axle in the rear! I just realized, it would be too much wear and torture for the Transaxle, to spin 18" tires fast enough to hit 38MPH. And it would be a extremely sick Pulley swap with Jackshaft, to get it to spin so fast. I also thought about a 3/4" Live Axle, but then I have lots of trouble with the rear end, cuz all the live axle parts are made for a 1" axle, and then I have to buy lots of Adaptors. All that trouble, just for the ability to swap on every tires I have sitting in the shop! NO!
Engine Plans got thrown out too! The Oppy would sound awesome, but it's HEAVY, Really THIRSTY, and EXPENSIVE! 420 and 40 series CVT is also too expensive, cuz I have to get a expensive Engine, evpensive CVT, and I do'nt have the ability to shift gears, but I want gears! So I will see if I can find any scrap motorcycle with big engine, or if not, I will buy a 125cc Honda Cloned 4 speed motorcycle Engine. Way more reliable, and cheaper than building a 420 with CVT.
So now I can scrap my plan to put it in the Build-Off 2019, cuz AFAIK Motorcycle Engines aren't allowed!

Here broken ATVs are still very expensive, maybe cheaper to buy a new Engine with Warranty - RichieRichOverdrive wrote:

| This will be the last of the grumblings. I understand the length of the topic if I remember right, it was due to a change of design plans. Also, SebastianAlbrecht has tried to shorten the length by utilizing the multi-quote system. Time to move the topic forward. | |

Originally I wanted to go for the 125cc Motorcycle Engine, but I think that thing is underpowered for burnouts and donuts on asphalt! Looked for used scrap Motorcycles, NOTHING! And the 2 scrap motorcycles were more expensive than a new engine with more HP. So I will buy this Engine for it!

20HP stock, 250cc, 5 gears, manual clutch, kickstart and electric start, the best Solution IMAO. Just a bit expensive, but probably the 600$ will be worth the fun I will have with this Rig! I think you're underestimating how powerful a 125 can be, an average 125 atv can easily do 40mph and still have the power to do burnouts and donuts, it's all in the gearing and sprockets used

THe clutch is burnt out, and it hasn't too much power, couldn't even spin the tires in sand when U drove it. THe Mower is probably double as heavy. THe gearing on that thing isnt for speed , that thing just does 30mph.

| yeah the automatics are more for trail duty than any kind of speed or performance, a friend of mine has a Honda 125 4 wheeler, it has a manual on it and will do burnouts all day and still run 45 mph without issues, I think it's all a matter of weather you get a manual shift or an automatic, the automatics are little more than a centrifugal clutch, at least the ones i've messed with, like on a go cart, not designed to be efficient at transferring power or strong but easy to use | |

U can get them carbs, wiring harness and stuff really cheap off ebay. And a underpowered Drift Mower would suck so bad...

| Wouldn't that be really nice parts for the Drifting Dynamark? Free parts I could rob off this Junky Scooter that is chilling in my outside storage area I maybe could use that RPM tach for the Engine, and the Hydraulic brakes for stopping the Dynamark, and the gas tank with fuel gauge for it and the ignition lock too. What do ya think? | |

| I'd strip that scooter down and bag everything for inventory. See what you got before buying anything. Could probably use a couple other things off it too. Maybe even the wiring harness too, since you will be using the ignition key and gauges off it. | |

| like @prancstaman said, strip down everything on that scooter, you may even be able to use the tires as front tires if you could find wheels that will fit them and your hubs/axles, they would make good road tires and should easily handle the speeds you want to achieve, just about anything off that scooter may be usable | |
