Ha me too, now I have two more with bad head gaskets, but its running good.....

Anyway got some big mowing done today...ground is really hard now and the horse footprints make for some brutal/bouncy mowing in the fields but hey what can you do...

I have never seen one of these, gibson with a briggs motor... it runs and cuts...

simplicity 12RTH ran on carb spray...

Craftsman LT Grey 38" deck runs ok needs carb cleaned...

I think it's a Gilson actually, haha. Looks pretty cool though! What does it have for a transaxle?

Yes giLson, I see & read what I want sometimes.  It has a "H" shift pattern, 3 forward speeds and reverse. I does have a piece of plywood mounted under the seat for some reason... its a little rough but all there for the most part. The rear of the tractor flips up too.

Peerless 600 would be my guess.

That Gilson looks cool, nice 8hp Briggs as well. The trans could be a 3spd Foote H shift trans, and a chain drive to the rear axle. Mowers with smaller engines like an 8hp sometimes have those chain driven type trans.

That hood is really odd looking.  I like it.

Only thing that sucks about it for me is that it is really slow, on my property I like a tractor that can crawl thru the woods and go pretty quick thru the fields. 3 speeds kind of limits it....

I have the worst luck working on Tecumseh engines.... I spent 2 nights cleaning and checking this carb, trying to start the thing over and over, and no matter what it will still only run on carb spray for a few seconds.  It sounds good when its running but I want to throw it in the river... I have another Tecumseh same 12hp ohv that does the same, what gives?  Never have these issues with briggs engines.

I know I have gas in the bowl, because when I disconnect the fuel line & drop the bowl gas comes out. I do know now that the float is working...I tried a different gas tank and fuel line to be sure. Could the jet still be clogged possibly not drawing fuel into the intake?

bought another MTD junk, its ok, briggs 12hp, i might just part it and use the trans for my red rockit tractor and the engine for something else... have to see how it runs...

Sounds like there is a blockage in the main jet or nozzle on that tecumseh carb.

came up with this today, stupid ass paint job but a kohler 14hp and 6sp

yeah it has to be i guess...

came up with this stuff tonight, 25 horse craftsman DLT, Bolens snowblower with tecumseh engine, and Simplicty parts tractor...

I'm starting to think this is getting out of hand.

Are you starting a mower junkyard?  Flipping these?  Or just straight up hoarding?

hahah all of the above... just trying to stock up  before winter I guess... I want to start spending more time on my build off tractor at the end of the summer, since now is prime cutting season.

I have a couple for sale now, but it does make it allot easier to fix stuff when you have allot more parts on hand....I do advertise on CL for tractor removal and get allot of these for free or almost nothing... I have not paid more than 20-50 dollars for a single tractor since I can remember....

The snowblower was 20 bucks and I did get it to run, the red one seems promising....
