yeah this is allot less bulky then an automotive engine hoist, I wanna make it even smaller to fit in a hitch receiver since it is only gonna be for lawn tractor stuff.... picking up some cool stuff tonight hopefully, supposed to be getting a OLD GT and a big kohler PRO.

I have no idea, I am not into restoring stuff that is not too interesting... but I will see if it runs & go from there, the mowing deck is dead... so I finally drove the 1250 cub cadet I picked up, it is a super awesome tractor, very satisfied with it.. the one with the plow, i picked up last season & was just waiting for the parts for the plow, it is for sale now.... The other red one is the hydro i picked up last night, the reason the guy thought the hydro was bad was because the deck welds were busted up and messing with the clutch pedal. So i fixed the bad welds and am putting it for sale.

yeah it did run good after all the dust flew out, shame the tractor is really ratty, but I dont think beyond repair. I might have to just try and sell the engine at the moment, I have far to many nicer ones to get into a restoration with this thing.

| Yeah those engines are notorious for leaking oil like a bugger. You're probably right about the tappet cover gasket, I did one for a guy here not too long ago. Every time you fired it up it would smoke for a bit because the oil was dripping onto the muffler. Ok so I had a few mins last night to look into it, what I first noticed is that the muffler was hardly attached, so I bolted it back up, and yes as it was running oil was dripping out the valve cover all over the muffler making a smoke show. So the guy gave up on the mower and bought my little sit on top for $275 and gave me this for free. Hope to sell it quick. | |

I hope so I am flooded with stuff right now since the grass is just starting to grow. I am just working on things that are "the path of least resistance" at the moment to get things for sale. I got 2 green craftsmans and one grey almost mowing. I got a couple motor swaps to do but they keep going on the back burner when I get these easy ones to fix.

yes, this is the first green one I had with this combo. Yeah I have (3) or so of those broadmoor tractors, have a broadmoor 14 for sale now. They are the best cutting tractor I have used, and they turn almost 90 deg left or right.

| sold that craftsman in 1 day, for 230.... bought for 120, kept the bagger and plow for myself.... finally got this simplicity running, rebuilt the carb & spent 10thousand hours replacing the drive belt.. Total crap how long it takes, and what you have to do to change the belt, but anyway its a sweet machine.... kohler 17hp twin, hydro... its a good medium duty machine... | |

I agree with you on the piece of poop quality tractor. and unfortunatly they are all going this direction. yeah I didnt even look at it much but it is "automatic" but its not a hydro, it has some type of cvt belt system, when you step on the pedal it is kind of like when you slam antilock brakes on ice, and the pedal crumbles and vibrates on your foot. Total piece of crap though, could build a better tractor with spare parts.
